They're mine! Mwuahaha! ... I wish. :-(Summary:
A one-night stand. It's a song fic. (The Corrs - One Night) M/L or M/A, depending on the way you look at it.A/N:
It's late and I'm tired, so I don't really know if this makes much sense. Just a little song fic, really. Oh and Jessie, if you ever get to reading this hun... You could always pretend its M/W ;-) Oh... Before I forget, can anyone see my other fic, rising from the dirt? I uploaded it on the 3rd but it never showed up on the list? I know it's out there... Somewhere. Don't forget to review and tell me I'm insane! She was making her way through the grey Seattle streets, walking fast, far from afraid but still cautious every time she turned into a new dark alley. She wasn't stupid; she knew how dangerous the city was after dark. But she had nothing to worry about; no one was going to stop her tonight. Not this night.
She didn't notice a lone raindrop slowly trickling down her cheek, leaving a wet trail on her beautiful olive skin. Neither did she notice the puddles of mud and rain she had been walking in had soaked her black leather boots.
And, really, she didn't seem to care. Nothing was going to stop this. This was fate in it's best.
Her legs moved with a purpose, although she wasn't sure what that purpose was. Love? Lust? It wasn't really either of those. No, this was something different. She needed this; she needed to feel warm and safe. She needed comfort. A sort of comfort Original Cindy or Joshua couldn't give her.
Only he could.
She didn't know how she ended up at his doorstep, soaked from the rain and looking like a drowned cat, but that didn't matter now. All that mattered was that she was there, and she wasn't turning back. Very slowly, she raised her hand to knock, but the door opened before her knuckles could meet the hard wood of his door.
And there he stood, smiling down at her. And she entered, looking back up at him.
Long day and I'm ready
I'm waiting for your call
'Cause I've made up my mind
My heart aches with a hunger
And the want that you were mine
No I cannot deny
So for one night is it alright
That I give you my heart
My love my heart
Just for one night
My body my soul
Just for one night
My love, my love
For one night, one night... One night
She looked at him shyly, and took his hands in hers, leading him to his bedroom with a small smile on her face. He had looked confused at first, but then he understood. And he'd given her what she needed, what she wanted. "No strings..." They both knew that.
When morning awakes me
Well I know I'll be alone
And I feel I'll be fine
So don't you worry about me
I'm not empty on my own
For inside I'm alive
She laid there, her fingers entangled in his, the small smile had never left her lips. She knew he wouldn't make her explain. He understood, he always had, and she realised he always would. Tomorrow, everything would be the same again. But not tonight. Not right now.
That for one night it was so right
That I gave you my heart
My love, my heart
Just for one night
My body, my soul
Just for one night
My love, my love
For one night, one night... One night
For one night it was so right
That I gave you my heart
My love, my heart
Just for one night
My body, my soul
Just for one night
My love, my love
For one night, we'll love
One night, one night
One night.
"Thanks." The whisper was barely audible, but she knew he would hear her. And he'd understand.
