SPOILER WARNING: Contains spoilers from chapter 246

After reading Chapter 246 I just HAD to write this… basically it's the aftermath of the bell exercise. THIS IS INTENDED TO BE A SHORT (extremely short) ONE SHOT FIC!

Please read and review, I live off of reviews! And with out further ado the story!

THE BELLS

"What's wrong my eternal rival!" asked Gai bursting onto the scene in a flamboyant way that only he could pull off.

"My students. They've grown so much without me. They beat my drill and on top of that even Naruto has grown wise. They even figured out my weakness," moaned Kakashi.

"GASP! WEAKNESS! … I must talk to these students of yours," yelled Gai before running off.

"I can't believe they got the bells with a trick that low," said Kakashi as he pulled out Icha Icha Tactics.

Elsewhere in Konoha

"Sakura-chan! We must celebrate this day!" proclaimed Naruto clenching a small bell in his fist. Sakura smiled and nodded grasping her own bell and examining it once more.

"We need something to always remind us that we got the bells … Oh I know! Jewelry!" said Sakura excitedly.

"Nani! Jewelry?"

"Yes, I could make a necklace out of mine!"

"What about me? I don't want a necklace," whined Naruto.

"Hmm, what about an earring! It's very common for men to get an ear pierced now a days," offered Sakura. Her idea was immediately shot down by Naruto crossing his arms in front of his chest and head in the shape of an X.

"Oh of course! Here give me your bell." Demanded Sakura holding out her hand. Naruto looked at his bell, down at her hand and then up to her face.

"How do I know you won't keep it for yourself?"

"NARUTO! BAKA!" screeched Sakura as she smacked him upside the head.

"Sakura-chan, that hurt," said Naruto handing over his bell and rubbing his head. Sakura took a step forward and grabbed Naruto's jacket.

"S-sakura-chan? Nani?" stammered Naruto as his face turned red and tried to step back. Sakura grabbed the zipper of his jacket, Naruto turned even redder and gulped. Sakura then quickly attached the bell to Naruto's zipper.

"There all done," she said as she smiled and stepped back to admire her handy work. She then noticed the bright color of Naruto's face.

"What's wrong?" she cocked her head to the side as she asked.

"N-n-nothing," stammered Naruto stepping back.

"Wait! You thought that I was going to-"

"NO! I Didn't!" He yelled still blushing.

"YES YOU DID!" yelled Sakura. Naruto shook his head. "ACK! How could you think I was going to do THAT! EW!" yelled Sakura raising her fist as if to strike Naruto.

"UZUMAKI! HARUNO!" yelled Gai running up to them and skidding to a stop amidst a giant dust cloud of his creation.

"Whew, saved by Gai," whispered Naruto taking a few steps away from Sakura.

"YOU MUST TELL ME WHAT IS KAKASHI'S WEAKNESS!" yelled Gai grasping Naruto by the shoulders and at attempting to shake the secret out of him. The bell on Naruto's jacket began to jingle wildly.

"Hn? What is the bell for?" asked Gai stopping his rampage momentarily.

"To commemorate the day we stole them from Kakashi-sensei!" grinned Sakura showing Gai her own bell.

"IT BRINGS ME ONE STEP CLOSER TO BECOMING HOKAGE!" Naruto proclaimed, causing everyone in their general area to turn in stare before glaring at the demon child. Gai looked from Naruto's proud face to Sakura's proud face.

"It's just a bell," said a confused Gai. Sakura and Naruto exchanged imp-ish grins.

"And people think I'M crazy."
