The sun was no longer on her side of the world. Nothing ever seemed to be or so it seemed. Clarke's been alone for almost 4 months now and even though she had her friends, she just wanted to feel appreciated by someone who actually cared about her in that way and didn't have a girlfriend either.
Someone who didn't make her the other woman. Someone to connect with and actually have conversations with. Kissing and going out on dates were fun, but what about feeling a connection.? Talking about their life hold, dreams, things they're passionate about, and genuinely getting to know each other.
That's the type of love that guarantees that you'll grow old together because the two people are trying every day. Clarke wanted that so bad.
Finn wasn't that person for her. Maybe he could've been, but then again Raven was now one of her closest friends, so no. She can't think of something more happening with him now because a friendship came out of a disaster. Raven was family now.
She got a glimpse at love though or what seemed close to love. Maybe she didn't love Finn, but she had him. Nobody was really interested in her. She had already attempted to go on two dates that both Raven and Octavia set up. It took a lot of convincing, but in the end she just said what the hell.
The dates however, were bad to say the least. It seemed like they were intentionally trying to show no interest in her. Silence filled it mostly aside from the dead conversation. Why were they even here if neither of them were even remotely interested in doing it?
It honestly didn't even make sense to her. Octavia and Raven never let her down when it comes to these things.
Glancing at her phone in her lap, she saw that she had an hour to get ready before meeting up with her now third date. From what Clarke knew, her name was Lexa and she ran a history museum. They were the same age, 27, and both recently out of a relationship.
Groaning and already draining the date, she got up from her couch, put her ice cream away, and turned on the shower.
