Chapter One: Stalker

Yong Soo was mad. He was beyond mad, he was furious. How dare someone mess with Yao-hyung! His Yao-hyung! It was unforgiveable! It was inexcusable! He took a deep breath. It was okay though; the guy wasn't going to get away with it. Yong Soo would just have to go give him a piece of his mind.

~Earlier...

Yong Soo was in his bedroom playing video games with Lee when he heard the front door open and slam shut again. Angry muttering- angry, loud, Chinese muttering- drifted in from the other room.

"Yao-hyung's home!" Yong Soo happily exclaimed, completely unaware of the mood his brother was quite obviously in. His announcement earned only a blank stare from Lee as Yong Soo paused the game and ran out to greet his favorite brother.

"Yao-hyung~!" He sang as he tackled his brother with a hug and nuzzled into his shoulder.

"Not now," Yao snapped, pushing at him to get off. "Can't you see I'm in a bad mood? I don't feel like dealing with you today, aru."

The Korean simply sat there silently for a moment. He blinked and tilted his head as if he didn't understand. Then…

"Wahhhh! Yao-hyung doesn't love me anymore!" Yong Soo whined more than he cried.

"Is something the matter, Aniki?" a quiet voice asked from the doorway.

Yao sighed, ignoring his youngest brother's cries, and sat down on the couch. "It's Ivan, aru. Again." He rubbed the back of his neck and Kiku sat in the nearby armchair, ready to listen to his older brother's troubles.

"Did he try something again?" Kiku's normally calm demeanor darkened visibly. His brow furrowed and he narrowed his eyes. He did not like Ivan one bit.

"I think he's following me again, aru. I keep seeing him everywhere I go. I tried to confront him about it, to tell him to leave me alone, but he doesn't listen, aru. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about."

By this time Yong Soo's whines had ceased and he had fallen more or less silent. He was looking at his brother with wide eyes. "Yao-hyung has a stalker? Guess that shows how amazing you are!" He said with an almost proud, boastful smile, as if this somehow reflected positively on him.

"This isn't a joke, Yong Soo!" Yao snapped again. "He's really making me uneasy, aru."

"It's perfectly understandable for you to be frightened, Aniki," Kiku said as he leaned over to pat Yao's knee. "Ivan is a potentially dangerous and undeniably unstable person." Kiku was quick to point out Ivan's faults. "Have you considered going to the police?"

Yong Soo stopped paying attention at that point. Someone "potentially dangerous" and "unstable" was stalking Yao-hyung? And Yao-hyung was frightened? Brave Yao-hyung, who was never afraid to check the closet and underneath of the bed when Yong Soo had watched one too many horror movies with Alfred, was scared? Uh-uh. Not cool. Yong Soo ran to his room, rambled some incoherent excuse to Lee and ran out the front door into the brisk autumn air. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He nodded to himself as he jogged down the nearly empty street. He was going to have to take care of this.

After his jogging slowed to walking, Yong Soo's head cleared, if just slightly. Now where exactly was he supposed to be going? He paused and tapped his fingers to his chin in an over-elaborate thinking pose. He shrugged and headed off to Yao-hyung's school. Surely someone there would know where to find this "Ivan" guy.

Soon Yong Soo found himself on the sprawling campus of the university his brothers attended. Being only in high school himself and only having visited Yao-hyung a handful of times before he got so mad he threatened not to make Yong Soo dinner anymore, the Korean was a little unsure of what to do now that he had arrived. He stood there, just inside the gate, and fidgeted.

"Can I help you?"

Yong Soo did a 180. Standing behind was a kind of short guy with messy blonde hair and enormous eyebrows. "Do you know Lee?" He asked, really without meaning to. It just sort of came out. A lot of the things the Korean said did that. But their eyebrows were just so…

"You mean Lee Wang?" The man asked in a pleasant British accent. "Of course I do. He's my cousin, distantly, of course, but how on earth did you know?"

"Uh, lucky guess. Well, if you're Lee's cousin then you must be cool! I'm Im Yong Soo, nice to meet'cha!" He smiled genuinely at the stranger, momentarily forgetting his mission and completely forgetting his earlier unease.

"Oh, my name is Arthur Kirkland. Pleased to meet you as well." He sounded slightly unsure of this, but stuck his hand out just the same.

"Huh? Oh, right." Yong Soo had forgotten about the whole hand-shaking thing. Pushing his cumbersome sleeves out of the way and grabbed Arthur's hand.

"So, what are you doing here? You're not a student are you?"

"Ah!" Yong Soo shook his head rapidly from side to side. "I almost forgot! Do you know where Ivan is?"

"Ivan? What on earth could you want with-"

"I don't have time for questions!" Yong Soo whined, all business for the moment. "Please!"

"Well, I would imagine he's at his dorm room. Would you like me to escort you there?"

"Mansae! Thank you!"

"Right. This way."

"This is it," Arthur said, gesturing toward the door.

Yong Soo nodded, completely serious, and knocked loudly.

Seconds later the door opened to reveal a freakishly tall man with light, almost white blonde hair and a smile on his face. "Da? I… help you?" He asked with a heavy accent and kind of awkward English.

"You're Ivan?" Now that he was face-to-face (or face-to-chest to be more accurate) with the guy, he didn't really know what he was planning on doing. He hadn't really thought it out that far.

"Da. You are?"

Yong Soo huffed and tried to look menacing. He hadn't imagined the stalker would be so tall… "I'm Yong Soo and I'm here to tell you to leave Yao-hyung alone! He doesn't like you and you're freaking him out! And –and if you don't want to then, uh… I- I should warn you that I know martial arts! I invented taekwondo, you know!"

Yong Soo stood there, radiating defiance, while Arthur backed into a corner, trying to make himself invisible, and Ivan giggled uncomfortably.

A/N: So I like crack, what? P:

Some notes: Lee = Hong Kong. I needed a name for him and I saw a role-player by that name and I liked it so *shrugs* Now. Relationships. In this universe of mine, Yao, Kiku, and Yong Soo are all half-brothers. They all have the same mother, but different fathers. So, technically, Kiku and Yong Soo are actually half Chinese, though they will only grudgingly admit to that (especially Kiku). Now Lee is Yao's cousin on his father's side, so Lee is in no way related to Yong Soo or Kiku. And on his mother's side, Lee is related to Arthur (though, as he said, distantly). So Arthur and Yao aren't related either. Now I hope that clears everything up. I wanted to put it here since I wasn't sure if it would directly come up in the story.

Translation Notes: (If anyone actually needs them)

Yao-hyung - Big brother Yao (Korean)

Aniki - Big brother (Japanese)

Mansae! - Yay! (Korean)
