Just a short little story, no plot or whatever what so ever.
It's basically about Bones trying to figure out what makes Spock and Kirk one.
((Sorry Spirk girls, nothing Kinky today))
Star Trek 2009
Captain and Commander
Spock and James T. Kirk.
Ying and Yang.
Black and White.
Bones didn't get it, nor sometimes he didn't even want to. He tended to ignore it unless Kirk decided to push him into Spock. "My friends are your friends!" He would often say. Bones only rolled his eyes. He stood on the bridge, a few steps from the Captains chair where Kirk was happily planted. Ever since he took the roll Bones had to be fast on his toes, knowing what kind of trouble Kirk could cause when given the chance.
If Kirk wasn't eying the stars before him, he'd be leaned to the side towards Spock. Asking for a quick game of chess after shift or just trying to start a nice conversation, ANYTHING! Spock would give a quick simple answer and continue...Kirk never gave up. What made Kirk want to befriend the man who stranded AND nearly killed him was beyond his wildest imagination, of course, being his friend was still beyond that as well.
"I may throw up on you!"
The look Kirk had given was natural, he didn't leave his seat though. He only started to comfort him. Bones snickered softly. Drunk and crazy on imagination and Kirk stayed. ...He still didn't get it...
"Bones!" His nickname being yelled at woke him from his thoughts, he sighed to himself looking to Kirk who had spun quickly in the chair and glanced over with his trademark smirk, Spock stood at his side, ...standing like always. Another thing he found odd. Spock was graceful...a gentlemen and Kirk? ...He let his arms swing, he rarely pardoned himself, and his hair! He gave dirty blond a WAY different meaning.
"Yes Ji..."
"Captain!" Bones glanced in annoyance and the smirk grew wider on Kirks face. Few weeks in and he still couldn't get enough of the title. "...Captain?"
"You may return to Sick bay if you want...Shift is almost over and me and Spock will be enjoying a nice game of Chess. You are no longer needed."
Bones rolled his eyes as he turned and headed to the lift. "Was I ever really needed!"
"Your being was all I needed Bonesy!" Bones huffed as the lift closed. His last sight was of Kirk laughing and Spock shaking his head, a hidden smile on his face. He shook his head.
Ying and Yang.
Black and White.
No matter how much he observed...he knew he'd probably never get it.
