Nothing much, but it's something.

Ed and Jumpy walked along the cracked and dusty road as they go along with their adventure. The sun beating down heavily upon them, sweat dripping heavily as they went along. "Ed, Jumpy can't...go...on..." Jumpy wheezed before falling over. Ed went back to him and picked him off his feet and delivered a hard smack across his face. "Snap out of it! We gotta keep going, it's not much farther now." He told him. "Aww, you said that an hour ago..." He whined in response, his fluffy bunny ears drooping. "Yeah, that was before I knew it was further away than I was told." Ed responded, wiping sweat from his forehead.

The two continued down the road and soon enough they finally found what they were looking for. Ed pulled Jumpy close and grinned broadly. "Jumpy, LOOK!" He shouted excitedly, pointing offward into the distance. Jumpy's ears perked up with excitement and he jumped up and down with excitement. "Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!" He cheered with glee as they quickly headed in the direction of what they were looking for.

They soon approached a small shack made out of rusty scrap metal, a pen of dead, mutated sheeps, pigs, and cows on the left side of it with a water pump to the right. Jumpy headed over the pump and shoved his mouth under the faucet and began pumping. Sadly, the pump was dry. "OH C'MON!" He'd shout in rage, ripping the pump out of the ground and throwing it off into the distance. Ed went over to the pen of dead animals and the stench of rot and age met his nose. It had been awhile since he had smelt such a thing he cringed and proceeded to vomit off to the side.

It was nothing much, but they could fix it up if they tried.

About two days later...

"Alright, it's complete." Ed said, wiping the sweat from his brow. He'd step back from the new water pump and admire it with glee. He would place a bucket under the faucet and pumped water into it, clean and perfectly normal water poured into the bucket. "Jumpy, we got water!" He would call, looking over to the pen were Jumpy had been trying to raise a sickly calf and two pigs. He'd quickly head over to the Ed, his rabbit ears perked up with excitement. "Finally, fresh water to drink!" Jumpy would cheer with joy, picking up the bucket and taking a long gulp from it.

Jumpy took a deep long exhale as he finished. "It tastes pretty clean to Jumpy." He'd say cheerfully, nodding to Ed. "Good, now let's help these animals feel better." Ed would respond, refilling the bucket and heading over to the animal pen and pouring it into a make shift trough. The sick animals approached and began drinking the water, all seemingly to become much more healthy.

A week later...

The two relaxed in their rocking chairs and stared at the starry night sky as the fire glowed. "Well, it's nothing much. But it's better than nothing, right?" Ed said, turning to Jumpy. Jumpy nodded gleefully as he ate some ramen. "It took a moment to get that generator working, but Jumpy managed." He responsed, he ate some more ramen. "Yeah, I think we have everything we need." Ed would respond, looking back up at the starry sky. "Hey, Jumpy. I got a question." He would say, turning back to Jumpy again. "Yeah, what is it?" He'd ask in response.

"You're gay, right? Because I won't judge or anything." Ed would ask, cocking his unibrow. Jumpy nearly choked on his ramen. "N-NO! Jumpy is not gay!" He'd shout at Ed, sounding offended. "Sorry! Sorry! It just seemed like you were gay." He would quickly apologize. "Well Jumpy is not. Jumpy is perfectly straight, straighter than a metal rod." Jumpy would respond. The two were silent for a moment. "Sorry, Ed. Jumpy was just...surprised by that question." He'd apologize. Ed smiled and nodded. "It's fine, it's fine." He would respond, looking back up at the starry sky.
