*A/N: i know adam doesnt have diabetes but its my story so i can do what i want!!*
I woke up to the sun shinning through my window, I pulled the blanket over my head only to have it removed. I looked up to see my best friend alex she was looking down at me with a huge smile on her face. Whatever she was thinking, i wasnt up for it.
"Whats got you so happy?" I said
"First day of summer!!" she said excited
"I know, go away let me sleep im tired!" I said in a annoyed tone
"Adam lazzara you can honestly tell me that you wanna sleep in on the first day of summer?" she said
"Uhm yeah" i said
"Come on, get up your mom wants you to check your blood sugar" she said
"Ughhh, fine" i said and got out of bed
I went into the bathroom and checked my blood sugar, it was a little to high which probably explains my crap mood. I mentally cursed at myself and put away my stuff, i ran downstairs to see alex and my mom talking.
"Your up" my mom said
"Yup" i said and sat down at the table
"Adam wanna go to the beach today with me and matt?" alex asked me
"Uhmm, sure i guess" i said lazily
"Are you okay?" she asked concerned
"Yeah just one of those days, my sugars acting up" i said
She nodded understanding and stood up.
"Well im gonna go matt and me wanna get toys for the beach, ill call you when were coming to get you. Just relax for a bit okay?" she said
"Okay see you later" i said waving to her as she left
"Here drink this" my mom said giving me a glass of water
Great first day of summer and im already having problems with my diabetes.
