Amanda sighed inwardly as she looked at the judge waiting for his sentence, she was barely 18 but had already been through much more than most women in their 40s. Her only hope rested with the Sisters behind her, she clutched the rosary they had given her and bowed her head in prayer.
"Amanda Krueger you are charged with stabbing your father over 100 times in the chest after mutilating him, you are then charged with mutilating your mother before stabbing her to death as well." The judge said, " You claim this was done in self-defense but this court finds you guilty of murder. However Mr. Donaldson informs me that you have pleaded yourself to the religious order that maintains the Hathaway House, so by the power granted to me by the state of Ohio you are here by sentenced to spend life as Sister Mary Helena. If you step out of line you will be back before this court and I will make sure that you get the full sentence of your crime. Even if I have to throw the switch myself!" The Judge said slamming the gavel down harder than needed. The two sisters behind her started crying and even Amanda had to, then she turned to look at them. She cursed inwardly as she looked at them knowing that she'd never be able to be herself again.
