Kate buried her nose in a tissue as she stepped off the elevator. She was bundled up in a pale orange jacket with dark blue trim. She sighed and rolled her shoulders as she stepped out of the tight seeming metal box and shuffled into the bull pen. She threw her purse upon her desk and slid into the dark blue cushioned chair behind it.

She sniffed again and pushed her purse into the floor not caring that it tipped over under her desk. She sniffed/coughed/chocked/sneezed into her tissue crumpled it, tossed it in her trash can and placed both her hands on her temples massaging them lightly. Kate had woken up that morning with a throbbing headache and a running nose, horrid cough, and a bad sneeze. And this wasn't to mention the nauseas feeling in her stomach that had seemed to appear after her morning coffee and had grown worse every mile on her way to work.

On top of all this she despised the leadless case they were working; an interrogator had mysteriously disappeared the night one of the prisoners she had questioned broke out of jail. Kate said broke because the rest of the team said it. The fact was that nothing was actually broken. There were no picked locks or caved in walls, there was simply a turned over metal bed bars bent and screws scared. The jailer had reported the incident after finding no alleged terrorist in the cell when he went to deliver breakfast. Breakfast was a hard biscuit and want-to-be gravy substance that all the prisoners were given. It was one of the weirdest cases she had ever been assigned to and there was absolutely nothing to go on.

The brunette flipped open Jane Serons suspect file and took a glance at it not really reading it but acting like she was. Seconds later, Gibbs strode out of the elevator and into his bull pen two steaming coffees in hand. He placed one of the steaming white cups on Kate's desk. He proceeded to his own not looking at her straight on until he realized she was starring off into her report, hardly blinking hands still at her forehead. He peered over at her bent head and backtracked to her desk. He stood directly in front of her desk and placed a hand on the report he frowned and his brow furrowed when she didn't react at all. He moved his hand and waved it in front of her face.

"Kate" he said loudly when she didn't respond he rose h is voice even louder "Special Agent Todd."

Kate quickly blinked before looking up at his face.

"Really absorbed in that suspect file are we."

" Ye…aaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooo
