A small boy watched as his older brother left without saying a word to him. The teen had been thrown out of the house by his mother after she found out that he had been at the stables instead of studying to become a lawyer like their parents. All the young adult wanted to do was study veterinary medicine.
Months later, he watched from a hospital bed as his mother collapsed into the doctor's arms sobbing. The boy and his father had been in an accident. All he wanted was his big brother as his mother left, not coming in to take him home or to kiss him and promise to be back in the morning. The child felt alone and abandoned.
