DISCLAIMER: I DONT OWN IT DONT SUE
Sarah didn't hear anyone leave her room. Two seconds ago Sir Didymus, Hoggle, Ludo, and all the others were there. As soon as she laid in her bed they were gone. For a second she thought it was all a dream she had just woken up from. She didn't hear them leave, it all happened in the blink of an eye.
Jareth was perched outside Sarah's window. He had sent all his subjects back to the Underground since Sarah was tired. He studied Sarah through the window. "How could she have beaten me?" he thought, "I am the Goblin King. I can do whatever I want. I could kill her at this moment if I wanted to!" But he knew he really couldn't. He couldn't hide the fact that he had feelings for her, not even from himself.
He felt as if he couldn't leave the perch by her window. Like he couldn't sleep, breath, or eat until he had her with him. Sarah hated him and he knew it would be hard for him to change her opinion. Jareth had a kingdom to rebuild yet he could not go back there. He could not be himself for he knew that he could only exist if Sarah were at his side.
Wondering how she got home, wondering how she got back there safe and in one piece Sarah didn't move from bed. She didn't want to call or talk to anyone, afraid that it might prove what she went through was just a dream. She wanted to hold onto the feelings she had for as long as she could. All the friends she made she held close in her mind. Memories of Hoggle, Ludo, Sir Didymus, and even the Fierys played again and again in her mind. She labeled and cataloged them in her mind for easy access.
She thought of Jareth. He however did not have as distinct a label like the others. He was evil, oh yes very evil. "He is what he is, and he will do whatever he wants." Sarah thought trying to convince herself that evil is all he was. But she could not shake his last few words to her, "Fear me, Love me, do as I say and I will be your slave." She could understand him wanting to be feared, but she could not understand love. Words spoken so desperately from his lips, words that were meant to keep her from getting her brother back. He could have said anything yet all he could do was ask for her fear and her love. Her fear she had already given but her love is something she thought she could never give him.
A/N: not the greatest story in the world but I thought I might as well let it see the light of day. I wrote it about a year ago maybe.
