It was a bright sunny day on Angel Island. Knuckles was as bored to death guarding the Master Emerald, but hey, that's his life's duty. Anyhow, Knuckles saw a bright orange figure in the sky, it was Tails flying over to the island!
"Knuckles! Knuckles! You HAVE to come see this!", said the small fox.
Knuckles stood up, glanced at the Master Emerald for a moment, and let Tails fly him.
"Where are we going anyway?", asked Knuckles.
"It's Shadow! Sonic and I found his body!", said Tails.
"Really?", asked Knuckles.
(I'm going to do the talking parts in script form now.)
Tails: Why would I lie about something like this?
Tails and Knuckles land in a small canyon, and Shadow is lying on the ground.
Sonic: He's alive, look at how hard he's breathing, but he's really beat.
Meanwhile at Angel Island, Rouge flew in.
Rouge: *walks up to the shrine* Aha, so here's that emerald. *gets a bag out and stuffs the emerald in it and flies off*
Knuckles: Wait a minute...I sense the Master Emerald is gone!!! *runs off*
Rouge: *is flying but is suddenly hit by a sharp fist, and falls to the ground*
Knuckles: *catches the emerald and puts it in its place* Alright, what are you doing here, bat girl?
Rouge: What I'm doing here is none of your buisness.
Knuckles: Oh yes it is, I can't let anyone steal the Master Emerald. Besides, you said you were going to give up treasure hunting!
Rouge: Well, maybe I lied. That's the kind of person I am.
Knuckles: *is getting ready to attack Rouge, but then there's an explosion*
Rouge: What was that?
Knuckles: I don't know, but we--I mean...I better go check it out...*glances back at Rouge for a second and turns around and runs off*
Rouge: What a guy...
