Daryl Yan was a cute young boy with an unfortunate temper. Due to this, no one ever wanted to invite him to their birthday parties. But they had to invite him, lest they invoke the wrath of Daryl's father (who actually couldn't care less about what his boy did or did not get invited to).

This is the story of one of those parties.

Little Montgomery Uchisaki was celebrating his 10th birthday with all the fun and glamour his parents could afford.

Upon arriving at Montgomery's house, Daryl came face to face with a clown handing out star shaped balloons. Daryl frowned angrily. Clowns were pathetic, and he didn't want them touching him. As the clown reached towards Daryl, offering a red balloon, Daryl picked up a stick, popped all the balloons and elbowed the clown in the face. He walked through the front door ignoring the cries of the younger children.

The inside of the Uchisaki family home was quite plain and dull. Daryl snorted, disgusted. How could Montgomery not afford a mansion? Or at least a house with more than 2 bathrooms. Typical commoner. Daryl knocked down a family portrait while no one was looking.

The day wore on, tediously, and Daryl nearly fell asleep with boredom. The children played games such as tag and pass the parcel, and Daryl made sure that he won every time (regardless of whether he did actually win, he won). Finally it was time to open the presents. Daryl didn't need to bring a present because obviously having Daryl Yan come to your birthday is a present in itself (an immeasurable present that is surely more important than any of the gifts one could give to Montgomery).

Montgomery tore into his presents with vigour, a big grin plastered on his face. Daryl rolled his eyes and scoffed at each pitiful present. A book. A toy. A video game. Worthless, Daryl said, with absolutely no hint of jealousy at all within him of course. He flipped his hair and muttered remarks about each gift; "It'll break in a day", "I didn't know you knew how to read, Montgomery. Either way, this looks too difficult for someone like you to read", "Ha ha ha! Where did you find that? The second hand reject shop?" Some of the children teared up at his comments, but Daryl only talked louder upon seeing each sad face. Secretly he was thinking about how to steal the presents without anyone noticing. Not because he was jealous, of course, but because Montgomery didn't deserve presents.

And then came the cake. A big, chocolately, gooey, delicious looking cake. The children's mouths salivated looking at it. Daryl narrowed his eyes- He had never had such a delicious looking cake at his birthday parties. He grinded his teeth, he frowned, he stared. As Montgomery's mother raised the knife to cut the cake, Daryl subtly sneezed, his arm hitting the table and knocking the cake

Right

On

To

The

Floor.

The children began to wail, Montgomery's mother stood there in shock, and Daryl grabbed some cake, picked up Montgomery's new video game, and walked out the door.
