Disclaimer:
I do not own Neptunia. All characters mentioned belong to their respective creators, this story is going to be a bit of a new start for me. In the past, I had stories on here but they were littered with so many errors that I just had to take them down. I have a better grasp of grammar and whatnot now so I have resumed my service to this site.
"Strange Occurrences"
Some time after the deity of sin's defeat, Nepgear began hearing voices. She couldn't tell where they were coming from but one thing is for sure, they were frightening her. During the day, the voices sounded like whispers but on one calm night, the voices began invading her dreams.
"Nepgear was lying in bed next to her sister, her sister was sleeping a bit soundly albeit snoring slightly. Nepgear on the other hand was not having the best sleep, the voice in her head were causing her to have a nightmare and she cannot muster the strength to wake up...
Kill her...
Kill your sister...
The voice said in a menacing yet demonic tone, this frightened Gear as she began talking in her sleep.
"Stop...I don't want to." Nepgear responded to the voice as she began squirming in her sleep.
You cannot resist...
Kill her and claim her power for your own. You want to protect everyone, don't you? Kill her...Kill them.
"N-No...I can't. I don't want to." Nepgear responded in a more frightened tone, her body began moving erratically as her nightmare began growing darker.
Everyone who I came in contact with thought they could resist. They all became one of my Adept. You are a special case...
"No...Stop it..." Nepgear cried helplessly in her sleep, it altered Neptune who began shaking her sister. She wasn't sure what was happening but she knew her little sister was having a nightmare.
"Wake up, Nep Jr.! I think you're having a bad dream! Come on, Gear, wake up!" She began shaking her sister with noticeable force, trying to wake her sister up.
You will succumb...I will be back.
Nepgear burst awake and yelled in terror. She began pondering if what she just experienced was real or if it was fake.
"Neppy, Jr., are you okay?" Neptune asked her sister who's face looked pale and white like a ghost.
"I...I just had a bad dream is all.." She couldn't quite form a sentence but she was scared out of her mind and didn't know what to do.
"Sis...Please, hold onto me while I fall back asleep. Whatever kind of nightmare that was...It was really frightening." Nepgear was on the verge of tears but Neptune wrapped her arms around her sister and embraced her, her warmth and grip began lulling her to sleep as she was silent in her sister's arms.
Nepgear was at peace but this state of mind is short...
The voice that is in her head has only just begun the mental torturing process of poor little Gear.
A "Mysterious Entity," we'll call it that, has embedded itself in Nepgear's consciousness. It will soon begin driving her mad, she will not become an "Adept" though. I've got bigger plans for little Gear...
Author's note -
For those of you wondering, you're probably curious as to what I'm basing some of this story's plot off of. Well, you'll have to find out. For those of you who have heard of the term "Adept" in a certain web-based RPG, you guys are the lucky ones. Sorry if this chapter seemed short, I promise they'll be longer as I come up with more ways to torture little Gear.
