I don't know what this is. Really, what am I doing? I've seen this show like twice getting ready for school in the morning and this happened? This is dark. No happy ending. I think the ending is abrupt and confusing idk do people even write fanfiction for kids shows? Don't judge me for this fam

"It's not over yet.

Izzy and Cubby turned their heads, tear filled eyes searching the smoke for the source of the voice. Captain Hook scowled, rolling his shoulders and spinning on his peg leg to face the boy once more. The waves crashed against the boat violently, as though anticipating a dangerous battle ahead.

"You just don't know when to quit, do ye?" Hook sneered, tightening his grip around the hilt of the sword. A small figure stepped into the open, hunched forward and trembling. Izzy struggled against her restraints, desperately trying to break free. Cubby was torn between emotions. He was terrified and worried for his friend, but the hurt and heartbreak from losing his best feathered friend still weighed heavy on him.

The fog dispersed around the two captains. Jake was revealed to his crew, and Izzy's never wanted to cry so much before. His clothes were torn, his skin battered and bruised, his face mauled with cuts and welts and so much blood you can hardly see skin. His hair was damp with sea water and stiff with dirt. Jake took a step forward, his legs wobbling like jell-o. His body screamed for peace and threatened to give way every time he shifted his weight.

In his hand, the sword quivered. It caught the light on the moon above and reflected a blinding glare against the deck. If you just look at the sword, the fight would already be decided. There are rumors about that weapon for a reason. Hook would back down if he were just facing the sword.

However, you must always look at the big picture. You need to direct your attention to the hand clutching the sword. You need to notice how the fingers twitch and the wrist wobbles with anticipation. Then, observe the one who wields the weapon. Take note of how small and young this pirate is. Consider his age, his lack of experience, his naive nature.

The weapon is great and powerful and could take on a thousand men.

Nevertheless, it chose a child.

Captain Hook raised his own weapon. He felt his lips curl up in a sinister grin and his eyes narrow in delight. Captain Jake faltered, only a little bit. He glanced at his crew one last time, memorized their petrified expressions, and offered the widest smile he could muster. He was sure blood seeped through the gaps of his teeth and his face probably looked anything but reassuring, but it was the only thing he could think of doing at that moment.

Because as he gazed into the murderous eyes of Captain Hook, he knew it was all over.

Because although he had the greatest sword in the land, the battle was decided before it even began.

Because he was a child playing an adult game.

And because he'd never let Hook see him cry, just as Peter had once instructed a long time ago.
