(Hi guys! So I decided since it's been a long time since I've written an anime story I've decided to write one on -Man and I hope you all like this story :-) I don't think I'm going to involve filler episodes from the anime if I can only because they are not cannon to the manga. Image above is the appearance of the main character in this story ~ Citrine)
~Victoria's P.O.V~
It was early morning. I felt the warm sun touch my face as it seeped through the windows. I slowly sat up yawning and rubbing my eyes. I heard my bedroom door open and a maid stepped inside smiling.
"Good morning miss," she greeted.
"Good morning." I replied tiredly.
"Lord Vincent is here to speak with you. He is in the living room waiting for you." she said before curtsying to take her leave from the room.
I sighed. Lord Vincent was a man my parents liked he was also of noble linage my parents want me to marry him but I don't love him. I pulled the covers off myself and walked to my dresser pulling out a white button shirt with a pair of black pants and black shoes with no heels and putting on the outfit and putting up my long hair into a low ponytail. I then walked out of my room and headed to the fencing training grounds ignoring the fact the lord was here.
Once I arrived I saw my older brother Edward his blonde hair was a bit messy and I noticed a few cuts on his pale skinned hands as he polished his weapon. Once he saw me he put down the rag and sword on the ground and looked at me with his emerald eyes.
"What troubles you Victoria?" He asked me.
"Nothing." I replied simply not wanting him to notice but he could see through my act.
"I know you're lying be honest with me what is it?" Edward asked.
"Lord Vincent is here again...I don't want to go see him..." I confessed crossing my arms looking down.
"It is still bothers you that you are to marry this man? You know Mother and Father only want what is best for you." Edward said frowning a bit.
I bit my lip feeling irritated, "If they really cared they wouldn't make me do it I know it is only because he has strong financial ties that will strengthen the Anson house. I would rather marry a man I chose for myself rather then someone mother and father chose."
"Well if you really want to avoid him. How about a little spar between myself and you with our swords?" Edward said grabbing a rapier from one of the racks on the side of the room. I smirked this is something I've always loved about Edward he has always been understanding and kind as well as a good partner to fight against in the technique of swordplay. I then proceeded to grab my own and we got into position facing one another with our blades.
"Ready little sister?" Edward asked bringing the rapier into a thrusting position.
"Indeed." I said and put the rapier in front of my body. Edward smirked and dashed towards me preparing to thrust.
I quickly brought my rapier down and before Edward hit me I thrust my rapier up parrying his thrust and proceeding to try and slash his exposed shoulder. Edward quickly backed away evading my attack. I next charged at him trying to thrust at his chest he moved to the left and came up behind me to try a downward strike. I quickly turned around putting the rapier in front of myself and heard the loud metal clang as the two weapons clashed.
"Not bad. Your reaction time and speed is excellent." Edward commented sliding his rapier upwards against mine in an effort to tumble me. But I held my ground and found an opening to escape. I quickly slid under Edward and tripped him making him tumble and I got back up before he could and pointed my rapier at him.
"Will you submit Edward?" I asked as I pointed the tip of the rapier at his chest. Edward laughed putting his hands up in surrender.
"I surrender to you Victoria." Edward said and I smiled putting the rapier away as he got back up. The door suddenly opened and a butler came into the room.
"Edward, Victoria your presence is requested in the living room." the butler said.
Edward and I then proceeded to make our way to the living room where Mother and Father were sitting next to each other with Lord Vincent sitting on the couch. Edward gained his remarkable looks from my father while my mother had brown hair and blue eyes with a pale complexion the truth was I looked like neither of my parents they tell me I had the appearance of my grandmother but she was dead. Lord Vincent had black hair with blue eyes but he was many years older then me.
"Victoria, Edward, please greet Lord Vincent." Father said. Edward walked over to Lord Vincent and greeted him by shaking his hand and such. I on the other hand stood my ground.
"Victoria do not be rude." Mother said looking at me sternly. I took a deep breathe trying to calm myself but all I felt was rage. I just want them to understand I want to do more with my life than marry some other man for the betterment of the house.
"Miss Victoria," Lord Vincent said getting up from the couch and coming over to me grabbing my left hand and kissing it. I wanted to scream in disgust but I kept my composure only so I do not embarrass myself. I was always taught to keep your emotions in check in the noble world everyone could judge you for it. "You look absolutely radiant."
"Lord Vincent, thank you I'm flattered but I do not want to marry you." I replied taking my hand away from him and looked him straight in the eye.
"You dare reject me?" Lord Vincent questioned with a very scary look on his face. I still held my ground.
"Yes, Lord Vincent you are a nice man but I do not want to spend the rest of my life with you." I replied firmly. Before anything else could happen suddenly a loud explosion erupted outside and we heard screams most likely from the neighboring houses around us. All of us quickly ran outside to see what the commotion was and there was a strange and abnormal machine shooting purple bullets at other. It had large guns on its body and a face it was one of the most terrifying things I had seen in my entire life.
"Everyone back inside quickly!" Edward yelled hurrying us back into the house for safety. But the machine noticed this and started to make it's way to our home before we knew it the roof of our home had been blown off and it was looking right at us. I saw the machine move it's gun's toward us and begin to aim. I quickly looked for anything to protect myself and my family. Glancing at the fireplace above it was a rapier it was a family heirloom father told me when I was younger I was prohibited to even touch it. But that didn't matter now.
I quickly dashed off to grab the rapier without even thinking.
"Victoria what are you doing?!" Edward yelled looking at me. I didn't answer nor listen to him I grabbed the rapier and ran back to my family and lord Vincent and before the machine fired it's weapons I stepped in front of them and put the rapier in front of my body to try and block whatever attack it had in store. But before it even did anything the rapier emitted a green glow and suddenly I felt the rapier become ice cold to the hilt and it glowed a bright blue before blasting some blue light at the machine completely encasing it in ice. Everyone was so shocked that they didn't move.
"What just happened?" Lord Vincent asked.
"I have no idea." Edward said.
"Victoria Eliza Anson! How dare you touch the family heirloom?!" Father yelled at me.
"I-" I had no time to even speak for myself as a complete stranger came to what was left of the door. She had black hair in two pigtails she had a pale complexion with purple eyes.
"Are all of you alright?" the stranger asked.
"We're fine." Edward said, "Do you know what this thing is?" Edward asked as he pointed to the machine encased in ice still.
"Yes, that is an akuma a machine made by the Millennium Earl to kill humans." she replied.
"Who are you? You can't just barge into a house like this!" Father yelled at her clearly enraged.
"My name is Lenalee, I'm an exorcist and my job is to destroy akuma. I work with the Black Order." Lenalee explained.
"Then why are you here?" Lord Vincent asked.
"To get rid of the akuma?" I asked .
"Well that and also there was a piece of innocence detected here and I came here to collect it too. But I'm guessing the akuma wasn't frozen by itself right?" Lenalee asked.
"Um, no..." I replied quietly.
"Ah the innocence must have chose you then to be its accomodator." Lenalee said looking at me. I didn't want to believe it. I've only heard of exorcist's from others passing by to either do business or if they are travelling. Mother and Father always said those people were mad and were spouting lies.
"I don't understand..." I muttered.
"As an accomodator you have the potential to fight akuma and be an exorcist." Lenalee explained. I wonder...
"Will I be able to travel?" I asked her.
"Well yes but it is a dangerous job so if you need time to think about-" Lenalee started but I didn't let her finish.
"I'll do it." I said.
"What?" Edward asked shocked looking at me. "Victoria did you hear what she said about it being dangerous? You saw that thing it's huge and it kills people!"
"Victoria Anson it is your duty as a member of this house to stay here!" Mother said.
"Not anymore...I'm sorry Edward." I said looking at him apologetically and then looked at Lenalee. "Give me a moment to pack my things."
I then went to my room still holding the rapier and grabbed a bag from my closet and proceeded to pack some clothes first. I was about to head out the door when out of the corner of my eye I saw a photo of myself and Edward from when we were younger. I felt tears pricking at my eyes and I grabbed the photo before leaving my room. I went back to the living room and saw my family there still with Lord Vincent. I then walked over to Edward and hugged him tightly.
"I'm really sorry Edward but this is something I want to do." I said.
"I know." He said smiling at me.
I looked at my parents but they had a look of disappointment on their faces. I don't get why they don't understand. I sighed and then went to the door with Lenalee looking back at my family one last time before leaving.
