It was a nice quiet day high in the sky at the Cloudtop Cruise, and our favorite trio of idiots were just relaxing on the white puffy clouds populating the sky space... because Petey the mutated piranha plant had arrived by flying, with Dry Bowser and Toadette having finished a race.
"Holy geeze, this is so darn boring." Toadette yawned as she placed her hands on her face, letting out an annoyed sigh.
"What was your first clue?" Dry Bowser scoffed in response as he was brushing his red hair.
Petey Piranha mumbled as he moved his big green leaves around, with there suddenly being an avalanche of hamburgers rolling out of the thunderstorm right towards the trio, causing the group to look at each other.
"Should we run, or take it in?" Dry Bowser asked while moving his skeletal hands around, with Petey murmuring as he took quick glances at his friends and the incoming swath of burgers.
Toadette's stomach growling was enough to convince the mushroom girl to stay, with her placing both of her hands on her grumbling gut. "Why would I say no to yummy food?"
Dry Bowser shrugged as Petey clapped, the three of them being buried by the burgers. Dry Bowser and Toadette popped their heads out as they watched Petey swimming in and out of the sea of burgers, glancing at each other.
"Well golly, at least something interesting finally happened!" Toadette admitted as she began to munch away on some of the burgers, letting out a loud fart.
Dry Bowser nodded his skull as he grabbed a nearby burger with his bony hand, munching on it as he shrugged. "Yes, I do agree with you. This does seem to be preferable over... doing nothing."
Suddenly the clouds they were on broke apart, due to the combined weight of the burgers, which in turn sent them hurdling all the way down. Lakithunder watched from a nearby puffy cloud that he had set up his power plant on, seeing the burgers pour down around and on him like rain as he saw the other three fall down.
"Man, I don't know watt's up with these burgers, but they sure do shine bright in my stomach!" Lakithunder exclaimed as he was eating some of the fallen burgers because why not.
A Sumo Bro sighed as he shook his head, running on the treadmill to generate some electrical power for the power generator. "Of course you would say that..." He then slipped on a burger that fell on the treadmill, causing him to spin out of control and land on the treadmill face first, being covered by more burgers.
It was another slow day at the Seaside Hill Train Station, with Chuffy the train pulling in as Old King Coal stepped out, sighing as he shook his head. Mr. Patch emerged with him the inflatable green dinosaur balloon having ridden in the train car.
"So you think we'll be able to do anything exciting?" Mr. Patch stated as he coughed out a colorful beach ball.
"Oh, what's the use? Chuffy is barely getting any customers." Old King Coal commented as he folded his arms. "Maybe if I'm lucky, we might-"
Suddenly a burger landed on Old King Coal, with the giant black lump of coal looking up to see the burgers falling down from the sky and onto him. Mr. Patch watched as he felt the burgers bounce off of him, with the two Banjo Tooie bosses being buried in the burgers as Dry Bowser, Toadette, and Petey fell into the sea of burgers, all five characters popping their heads out of the burger hill.
"Oh joy!" Toadette exclaimed as she immediately snatched the burgers and began wolfing down on them, getting a pudgy stomach from having stuffed so many beefy patties into her.
Petey laughed as he joined in on the stuffing contest, proving to be a gluttonous plant as he chucked the burgers in like they were nothing, causing the other three bosses to watch in amazement.
"I know burgers can be amazing, but just how crazy are these two?" Old King Coal asked in disbelief as he couldn't believe his merry old soul.
"Trust me, these two knuckleheads are something else. I have to put up with them every day." Dry Bowser sighed as he munched on just one juicy burger since he knew how to control himself.
Mr. Patch simply widened his eyes. "I just hope they're not as disgusting as the ones Big Al made back in Witchyworld..."
