Light Sleep Talks
L sat at his computer screen his back to the sleeping boy he was chained too, his hands gliding silently over the keyboard, without rattling the handcuffs, he was waiting, Light had fallen asleep about an hour ago, and L was becoming accustomed to his sleeping patterns, he glanced at the clock in the corner of the monitor, and right on cue, a low dark laughter began behind him, this would last approximately two and a half minutes, then the interesting stuff began; Light clearly didn't realise that he talked in his sleep, let alone answered questions, albeit with annoying one word answers. L had got a little more out of Light each night so far, maybe he would get something useful tonight…..
Once the laughter died down, L approached the sleeping figure, as he had done for the past few nights, "Kira," he whispered,
"L" spat light with the same aggression as always,
L held his composure and asked, "How do you kill people Kira?"
"Notebook"
L nodded to himself, this was where Light had stopped talking last night "What do you mean by notebook? You can't kill people with a notebook, at least not the way Kira does,"
"Notebook," Light confirmed.
"Hmmm, what notebook?"
"Deathnote."
L sighed; slightly annoyed by the stupidly obvious name, "where is it?" he pressed
"Hidden."
Obviously there was something amusing about this as the maniacal laughter resumed and L knew he wasn't going to get any more out of the murderer tonight. He went back to his computer to type up the new information.
