I know what you're probably thinking; Flare, the heck are you doing?! You have so many incomplete fanfictions as it is, do one of those. Well…mneh. I wanted to do this, so ha.

This is, as you have probably gathered from the title, a High School story. This is a lazy-butt prologue with some premise for the story which…I kinda regret starting this with but I can't be bothered to go changing it all now.

And on that note, I AM EDITING ALL OF MY OLD CHAPTERS OF THIS. My writing style has changed over the years, that much is obvious, and as I'm better now than I was, I've decided I may as well go and improve the older chapters in case my previous rubbish-ness was putting people off. It also gives me the chance to fix any bad decisions and create more premise for relationships/friendships that aren't all that brilliantly explored. I should probably mention that whist the plot has remained the same, a few extra scenes have been added which you might want to check out.

THE POWER OF THE EDIT.

I don't own Teen Titans…though looking at the new Teen Titans Go! thing…I wouldn't be surprised if some people thought I did…what with the weirdness I make them do in some of my other stories.

PAIRINGS (if you're interested) RobStar, BBRae, CyBee, Flinx, JeriKole, HotGent, AquaOC, SpeedyOC (if you don't like OCs…then I apologise…but don't discount them straight away? They've gone through a lot of development to get them how they are now (you should've seen the Sue-ness of them when they were in my thirteen year old self's mind, haha :L)

Jump City High; a private institution in the city of the same name, partially funded by Bruce Wayne Enterprises. Only pupils from fairly well off families can afford to go there, the rest of the student body is made up of those with scholarships or funded by a special programme set up by Bruce Wayne. On the outside it seems like any other High School, full to the brim every weekday with a wide variety of students and staff alike. However, inside the students are quite different.

The students of JCH have been unofficially split into four main groups.

The first, and most prominent, of these groups is the 'Populars'. Jocks and Cheerleaders have an immediate pass to this fraction of the student body. Also included are teenagers, who are blessed with naturally handsome or beautiful faces, exceedingly well off parents, or those who manage to manipulate their way to the top. Despite this, many are spiteful and shallow, letting their popularity get to their heads.

The Geeks and Nerds make up a relatively small amount of the student body, spending most of their time in the library. Straight-A students, many people are secretly envious of their getting good grades with seemingly no effort involved. Travelling in small groups of like-minded people and ignored by the majority of the students, they have a relatively painless passage through school.

Of the remainder of the students, the majority are the 'Normals'. They're just there, like a glass of lukewarm water. This group is the most like other schools in the area, forming their own friendship groups and treating other people with polite respect (for the most part) and drifting comfortably through this stressful stage of education.

And finally, the elusive fourth group; the Odds. Springing up a couple of years before our story starts, when a strange coincidence occurred; a small number of teenagers whose appearances were abnormal, were all admitted to JCH. Taking the main brunt of the bullying, they were picked on constantly by the rest of the student body in the first years of high school. It didn't take long for these students to band together and eventually form tight knit friendship they have now.

Despite the strong boundaries of segregation between these four factions, the walls are beginning to crack, as the Normals become more and more tolerant of the Odds, though the Populars remain firmly belittling. However, little do they know that their groups are about to collide…

I now realise that the beginning sounds ever so slightly like Ouran Highschool introduction...

Um, yeah. If you're still reading, cool. If you're reading this for the first time; welcome and I hope you enjoyed it. Drop a review, it's not too late.

If you're rereading this after it was edited, drop a review anyway (or PM, if you've already reviewed and can't do so again, or wait for the next new chapter) and tell me if you think it's improved any, or worsened it (which would be rather awkward).
