Author's Note:
Alright! First story! This is going to be a fanfiction of Slightly Damned, an online webcomic by Sarah "Chu" Wilson. Though, I suppose you'd already know that if you're visiting the fanfiction page of it.
Some things you need to know; the story takes approximately two months before Rhea and Buwaro's escape from Hell. My main character will be introduced here in the first chapter, and will mainly take place from his point of view. If you are reading this, and you find that the information presented here is wrong, than chances are that the chapter was published before that information was released as canon. So 'scuze me if I present some off information.
I have no real schedule on updates for this; I just update whenever I feel the need, or have the inspiration to do so. As such, forgive me if I take some really long breaks from this. Like Chu (or any living person, really), I have a life of my own I need to attend to. And speaking of updates, if a some information that I think I might need will pop up in the comics next couple of pages, I might halt the story. So, there's another excuse for a hiatus! HAH!
Oh, and Chu, if you're actually reading this piece of crap, than I simply can't believe you're doing so. Honestly, sorry if you ever feel insulted. It's just my take on your world, with an additional character of my own creation thrown in.
Disclaimer:
Slightly Damned, and any referential materials found in this story, do not belong to me. They belong to their respective owners and subsidiaries, and I claim no ownership of them.
So, without further ado, I present to you all my first work of fan fiction;
The Fallen
Prologue: The Repeating of History
Once upon a time, in a world not our own…
Where Angels, Demons, and many other manners of creature alike exist…
A war was started. A great war, a cataclysmic one, between Angels, Demons, and the races that live in between their two worlds; Heaven, and Hell.
A large number of lives were lost on all three fronts, regardless of their respective origins…
Until, one day, the war simply seemed to just… stop.
No treaty was signed, no true ceasefire declared. Everything seemed to come so a rather abrupt halt…
Thusly was the fighting ended, on no true terms. The spilling of blood was ceased and, for a while, all seemed to finally be peaceful in the worlds of Heaven, Hell, and the place located at their midpoint, Medius…
However… This war shall re-commence soon. Very soon. Too soon, some might say, despite its rather lengthy time span between the former end and the new beginning…
The Demons and Angels have not yet forgotten their hostility and hatred towards each other; it is practically in their nature to do so, in fact. Light and Dark are two forces in perpetual opposition, after all…
Luckily, though, this new war shall end almost as soon as it initiates. How so, might you ask?
From one man and his undeniably hastily forged band of comrades, this man, being of holy descent, and yet raised by the baseness of Hell, would finally finish the seemingly endless conflict between Light and Dark, Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons, and those races who would help him on this journey.
This journey of good, evil, pain, and, perhaps most importantly, justice and retribution…
This journey across three vastly differing worlds, meeting many various peoples, and fighting for many causes…
A journey… of The Fallen…
