Why couldn't he understand. Just why.

Mabel walked down the hall, sure, you could say it had been a nice day. A nice day. Until, she heard familiar sobbing behind a locked door. Again? She groaned, why did it have to be this way.

"Bodil," she said clearly, "unlock the door, please." Bodil went quiet and he opened the door a few moments after. "Y-yea?" he said, his voice was clearly shaky. His sleeves were rolled down messily and you could still see the fresh blood stains in them. Mabel exhaled, it hurt her to see him this way. She entered the room without permission. She grabbed the blood razor and threw it onto the floor. "Let me see your arms." she ordered. "No. I'm fine, honest. I... want them to get infected." he said. "You're not fine!" she yelled, "You just have to cut a little bit deeper, huh? Trust me, it wont help you!" He went quiet, Bodil certainly wasn't going to argue. "You... you've... d-done it too?" he said quietly. Mabel nodded shamefully and rolled up her sleeve. The scars were so faded you could barely see them. But they were there. "I'm nothing to you. We weren't anything." she mumbled.

Bodil's face was sad, it wasn't at all how he felt. He was just too much a coward to admit that he needed her. Wanted her. Bodil touched two of his blood stained fingers to cheek and Mabel resisted the urge to recoil. "I'm sorry. I am," he said quietly into the silence, "But I really do love you." Mabel shook he head, maybe he was just lying to her. "Why do you never tell me. Or show me. You make me feel lost." she said, all the emotion in her voice was hard to hold. "I will, right now." he replied. He touched her chin and pressed their mouths together. He tried to slow the kiss down, feeling every place their lips touched and every place they pulled away.
