"It's a good day for a drive, isn't it, Mary?" Henry Talbot asked smiling giddily over at his wife. Mary grinned indulgently back at him.

"It is," she agreed watching the landscape zip by. "Almost perfect."

They drove on in silence through the countryside occasionally sharing a smile. Henry took a curve at speed making Mary laugh out loud.

"So what are we looking for in Ripon?" Henry asked grinning proudly. He love making Mary laugh.

"Whatever we find," Mary smiled slyly. "Really I just needed to get away from the Abbey for a while." She wrapped a hand around Henry's elbow. "And what better way to spend the day than driving with you?"

Henry beamed with pride as the reached a straightaway and pushed the accelerator nearly to the floor. "Nyoom."

Mary laughed pulling away from him slightly. "What did you just say?"

"Nothing," Henry said staring at the road and refusing to meet her eyes.

"No, I'm quite certain you just said...nyoom?"

"I did not."

"Yes, you did!" she exclaimed lightly smacking his arm. "You said "nyoom.""

"Look," Henry sighed, finally glancing over at her. "I don't expect you to understand, but it makes you go faster."

"What?" she laughed.

"Saying nyoom makes you go faster," he said matter-of-factly.

"It does not!" Mary scoffed shaking her head.

"Does, too," Henry nodded sagely. "How do you think I won all those races?"

Mary looked at him skeptically. She couldn't believe this. And she couldn't believe that Henry would either. Had the man gone mad?

Henry shrugged. "I knew you wouldn't understand. It's a car thing." He looked over at Mary with a barely contained grin and winked. "Nyoom."

And they laughed all the way to Ripon because this started out as a revenge fic and now I'm done.

NYOOM

A/N I'm dedicating this to my mom for making fun of my driving this morning. IT'S SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN THAT SAYING NYOOM MAKES YOU GO FASTER MOM!
