Like a great
SHARK
In the water he
Comes to me
Clothed in dark
Of reds and as
BLACK
as the midnight sky.
A rope around my
NECK
Can you not
See him?
He beckons
DISMAY
His wings a myriad of
HATE
While he stands in
His death tuxedo
A red ribbon
SHATTERS
And the rain tells
Tale of his false tears.
They roll down his cheek.
LIAR
He knows no
Happy to be sad
TRICKSTER
His hurricane has
Driven me to the
RIVER
He grins to me
He nods to me
BECKONS
Me closer to the edge
The bank is slipping
The rope is tightening
Grin is now fanged
SMILE
Lips touch water
Fingertips touch ice
Eyes see grim defeat
Is this the end?
EMMANUEL
