Title: All I Want for Christmas is you.
Time: Thirty minutes.
Inspiration: The Nocturnes contest.
Summary: He didn't want much for Christmas. Just her.
Disclaimer: I don't own KND, nor do I own pogo sticks, OR the song All I Want For Christmas Is You. KND belongs to Mr. Warburton (I start clapping), and the song belongs to Mariah Carey. I don't know who pogo sticks belong to.
Wally sat on a green and orange plaid couch, his hand wrapped around a mug of hot (well, not really anymore) chocolate, his eyes drooping. It was the night before Christmas, and although he had vowed to stay awake to see Santa (he still believed? He was fifteen!), he could feel himself going to sleep. He dropped the mug and his eyes snapped open to the irritated squeal of a girl.
He groaned- he knew what happened. He had dropped the mug on a certain pair of red and white fuzzy boots that belonged to a certain girl, and made her be angry with him. Again. Notice the word again there. Yup. This happened every year. You could count the number (numbuh, Wally corrected) of hot (now cold) chocolate stained boots lining up in her closet. He had counted. There were ten pairs. Ten! How could a girl keep buying red and white boots covered in fluff?
"Wally…" a threatening voice asked.
"Yeah, Kooks?" she always went easier on him when he called her Kooks.
"You dropped hot chocolate on my boots. Again!" she yelled.
"I noticed." He said.
"Well, you have to play a game with me then!" she announced, dragging him off the couch. He grumbled but couldn't refuse. He spent the next hour being tormented by Kuki's stupid game. He had to jump on a pogo stick while eating a granola bar! What kind of game is that? Wally finally returned to his couch, hand now wrapped around a green candy cane. He sucked on it slowly, letting the minty flavor penetrate his tongue.
He finally fell asleep.
When he woke up, there were presents underneath the Christmas tree, and a Santa hat on his head. The radio was playing happy Christmas songs as well. He smiled with joy and looked at the biggest package. He read the tag.
Here's Something You've Been Wanting For A While!
He grinned. New boxing gloves? Horror movies? Racing video games? He tore open the orange box and saw Kuki inside. She jumped out.
"Merry Christmas Wally!" she giggled. "Do you like the present?" She giggled again.
"No." Wally said flatly.
"…What?" Kuki's eyes watered and she started to climb out of the box, sniffling. Wally grabbed her hand and held her back.
"I love it." He said, taking her other hand.
"…What?" Kuki asked, wiping her tears. Wally slowly leaned in, and their lips met. Kuki closed her eyes and returned the kiss. Outside, snow slowly fell from the clouds and the radio played a song that matched their feelings.
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas is
You... yea yea
The pair finally broke the kiss and swayed together as snow continued to fall.
"Merry Christmas Wally…"
"Merry Christmas Kooks…"
