Itachi watched his brother grow from a baby to a child, his innocince untainted by the evil of the world. He continued to watch his brother grow sometimes wishing that he could stay a child, free of all pain and sorrow, but time will always win in the end.
Years had passed of itachi watching Sasuke grow, he was now in training, at times his anger would go from zero to sixty just from his fathers mere ignorence of his younger son working him self to the bone for his approvel.
"Itachi-san?"
"Yes Sasuke?"
"Why does dad never listen to what i have to say?" Itachi turned to look at his brother's tear stained face.
"Oh, Sasuke. Dad does listen to you he just doesn't..."
"Care." Sasuke wiped his tears away looking at his brother unable to stop the new ones from falling into their place.
"Sasuke..." Itachi got down on his knees and hugged his brother close to him letting Sasuke's tears soak his shirt.
"Do you understand the mission you are given, Itachi?"
"Yes sir." Itachi walked out of the hokage's office feeling as if his soul was being ripped apart and torn into a million peices. To kill all of his clan and leave nothing behind? It wouldn't be hard other then... no you must be unattatched no matter what the connection may be.
"Sasuke please forgive me." Itachi wispered under his breath as he walked to the compound having his brother run into him.
"Oh sorry Itachi-san!" Sauske's smile only deepened the abyss of dispar.
"Hello Sasuke." Itachi sighed as hes brother hugged him before running around him.
"See ya after school. Ok big brother?"
"Of course." Sasuke smiled once again before running off waving his hand behind him leaveing his brother standing there not knowing the pain it caused him just to know he was going to be the one to ruin his innocence.
"Mom? Dad? Big brother!" Sasuke cried out as he ran among the compound, past the bloody dead bodies looking for his family. he turned and saw his brother a small amile touching his lips thinking all was going to be alright.
"I'm sorry Sasuke."
"Sorry about what Ita..." Itachi quickly caused his brother to fall but he couldn't bring him self to deal the death blow.
"I'm sorry sasuke. This is my mistake to bear." For the first time since he could remember he felt tears fall down his face landing on his brother's face making him seem to be crying along with him. Itachi knelt down to sasuke's level picking up the child and holding him to his chest and took him inside out of the storm that had started to pour down on them. "Please forgive me one day." With that Itachi walked out of his old home knowing that it would be the last time that not only that he would set a foot in this compound but see that look in sasuke's eyes of trust and love when he looked at him, that look would be replased by hate and anger.
'Sasuke if only could know the truth...'
