Step 1. Come up with an important quest. (A mission to save someone or something, preferably several someone's or something's is always best.)
Step 2. Make up an excuse for why only you can go. (If it has special challenges that only you can conquer, so much the better.)
Step 3. Invite her along. (Do this in a way that doesn't show your interest in her. That'll make it more likely for her to accept.)
Step 4. Learn as much about each other as possible. (This builds your friendship as well as giving her a chance to like you back, and letting you double check if really want to date her.)
Step 5. Have an unforgettable experience. (See amazing places, overcome character building challenges, fight epic villains, and (most important of all) save each other's lives multiple times. This builds a bond that can never be broken or matched by anything else. You'll always be connected to each other by your adventure.)
Step 6. Ask her out in a life threatening finale. (This makes the actual ask her out part easier and more joking, putting less tension on both of you.)
Step 7. Follow up on that request. (It's okay to be shy on this. She'll be more likely to accept now that she knows you so well from your time together.)
