A/N: The long-awaited sequel to Fairytale Ending! Please enjoy, and review at the end if you want to. Oh and you might want to read Fairytale Ending to get a little of this. It isn't required, but it would help just a little. I don't own Sakuno or anything of Prince of Tennis. It all belongs to Takeshi Konomi.

Sakuno Ryuzaki was beginning to think that meeting up with Ryoma wasn't such a good idea afterall.

She thought, at first, that calling him up wasn't a really good one either, because her hands were so sweaty with anxiety and her fingers shaking with every button she dialed. She thought about just flat out hanging up when she got a dial tone, and almost dropped it (but being Sakuno, she did drop it out of clumziness) when she heard the familiar voice of Ryoma Echizen on the other line.

After another exasperated hello, since Sakuno had dropped the phone and was practically hypervenalating by then, Ryoma had almost hung up, thinking it was one of those telemarketers who had somehow gotten his number. Seconds before pushing the "End" button on his cellphone, he had heard a faint and out-of-breath "R-Ryoma-kun...wait...". Sakuno had gotten control over the phone again, but her voice had other plans. Clearing her throat, she gathered up her dignity and, after a few minutes of greetings and such, Sakuno asked Ryoma if he could meet her at the quaint cafe near the tennis courts.

He said yes and promised to meet her at 2:30 pm the next day.

Now it was the next day, only a few minutes 'til 2:30, and Sakuno sat alone, at a table in a chair facing away from the cafe doors. She fingered the edge of her coat sleeve nervously. What if she couldn't do it? What if she couldn't face Ryoma, after months of telling herself that she was finally over him, that she stopped believing that he was her 'Prince Charming'. What if, instead, she blurted out that she used to love him throughout their school life and he saw her as something weird and crazy? He probably wouldn't hold it against her if she just up and left, leaving behind the months of gained courage in herself and bruised moral that she tried to salvage after admitting that she no longer lover Ryoma Echizen. She thought of everything that could possibly go wrong the moment Ryoma sat down accross from her--

Sakuno frowned. Wait. What in the world was she telling herself?

She stopped pinching the edges of her coat sleeve and furrowed her eyebrows in lost thought. No, Sakuno wanted to make her happy ending come true. Those what ifs were like one big dragon that just needed to be slayed and done away with for good. And sitting around thinking about the bad wouldn't do her any good. She had to atleast try and face her worries, because if she didn't, then she would be back on square one: waiting for Ryoma-kun to 'save her', to be the knight-in-shining armor that she rejected wholesomely in her mind.

And that wasn't what she wanted at all.

She wanted something else. She wanted some closure. Sakuno Ryuzaki called her old flame to tell him that even though she did love him, it was all in the past, and that she wanted to start anew. She hoped she didn't suprise him with her new boldness, but she did want to start their friendship again, properly. She really hoped he would accept it and agree, but tried not to get her hopes too high. This was Ryoma Echizen she was going to talk with, not one of her gal friends. She'd have to explain herself a little bit, going into some detail how she came upon this herself...

Sakuno didn't hear the footsteps coming toward her two-seated table, but she did feel a slight tap on the shoulder. She turned around in her chair, looking up as she did. A pair of cat-like eyes returned her gaze, unreadable as always. A familiar face.

"Ryuzaki? Is that you? Sorry I'm late." A familiar voice.

Well, it was about time.
