Hello! I just want everyone to know this is a sequel. Read "Prologue to Melquiades" then "Melquiades" then "Epilogue to Melquiades" and then read this. Okay? Okay. You actually could just read this but like in all stories you should start from the beginning. Umm.. the original idea for the first story was based on a series called the immortals by Tamora Pierce. That's my weak disclaimer. This story doesn't mention her books as much but I figure I should add her in just for fun! Now onto the story!!!

Mel looked at her two children. Neiressia, the oldest, was 7 and Mickel was 2. She thought about having to leave them. She knew she would have to go. The sun was shrinking and she had to help her husband stop it. She was afraid she would fail, or die. What would happen to her children? What would they do while she was gone? She had no family that still claimed her add Demitre's father was killed a few years ago. She had to do something. She didn't know what. Something had to be done.
Suddenly her husband came in. He had been gone for a few days to gather a troop of people who would help them in their quest. Four people followed him inside. The first was a woman. She was almost 6 feet tall with frizzy black hair and a dark tan. Then there was a man. He had long-ish blonde hair and light skin. He was obviously the sort of fellow you warn your children about. He smiled at Mel and winked flirtatiously (that is one @#$%ed up word!!! I spelled it right the first time around too ^-^). She turned her hand just enough for him to see her wedding ring and then looked at Demitre's hand. The man backed off, but still stared at her from a dark corner. Another man stepped in. He was wearing a priest's robe (DRESS DRESS DRESS) with the hood up. A Hand ran down Mel back which made her jump. It was only Demitre. He smiled and watched as the last person entered. She was an extremely pretty girl around 28. She had nearly white blonde hair that was tied in a pony-tail. She smiled at Demitre. Mel glared at her. "Mel, dear, this is Tresta," he said gesturing to the tall woman.
"Nurne," gesturing to the blonde man. He smiled at her again. "Ristequ, and Mary(I'm sorry! I just had to do that. Tamora Pierce makes up these weird names you can't pronounce and then she has a name like Jon. I couldn't help it!!)" he said pointing to the other two. "They'll be coming with us." Mel smiled and nodded. That night as everyone was going to bed,
"I don't like Mary." Mel said climbing into bed. She pulled her hair up. Demitre knew what this mean, she was mad. this wasn't the time to argue with her, she'd win.
"You might think differently of her when you get to know her. Goodnight love." he kissed her and blew out his candle. She looked at the ceiling thinking about everything. Tomorrow she'd wake up, and start on a journey to save the world. Then she drifted into sleep.
