Matsumoto hated to see hitsugaya so...disoriented, but now for everyone who knew him saw his sadness, hate and pain in his eyes all because he fell in love with a certain clue-less fuktaichou. Matsumoto knew- everyone knew that he was deeply in love with her every one except for her. The more and more she was hooked on aizen the more and more she broke hitsugaya's heart.
No matter how hard matsumoto tried she still saw the hurt-the sorrow in his eyes. No body had went to even visit her because of the painful memories she brought back, and it pained matsumoto to even say her name, and it pained her captain even more to see her.
His crush in the sate she's in. so no matter how hard they tired to fix up the patches and build themselves up they'll never be the same. After all, wounds to the heart can never be healed- they are those something's you can't fix after all.
