At The Sandsea

A/N: My first prompt for springkink. This kinda ended up be short and sweet, and humor. I'd intended something longer, but the muses did not agree. Hope nobody minds that the espers are commenting through this. This turned out to be my shortest piece actually.
-…- Espers talking/thinking at their owners.
Disclaimer: I don't own Final Fantasy XII, nor am I making any money off of this.
Prompt: 23 Final Fantasy XII, Ashe/Balthier: BDSM – "I said Fran didn't like being tied up…"
At The Sandsea
Vaan sighed, eyeing the board for marks, wishing something more challenging then killing wolves and the occasional rogue tomato would show up. In the background, Penelo negotiated for food and drink, teasing the barkeep. Vaan studied the board again, but no luck. He'd helped save Ivalice from Vayne, killing things in one hit was no challenge. From the murmuring in the back of his mind, Zalera and Zodiark agreed. The Death Seraph and The Keeper of the Precepts found no fun to be had in low level opponents either. Still, it paid for food, shelter, and kept Penelo off his back about not sliding back into his thieving ways. Even if he did still pick the occasional pocket to stay sharp.
-Mateus and Hashmalim's Mistress is coming, along with Adrammalech and Shemhazai's.- Zodiark whispered through Vaan's mind, causing him to arch an eyebrow in surprise. Fran and Ashe? Well, at least the espers warned him. Fran and the Queen had probably sought him out with their own espers. He drifted over to Penelo, knowing that Ultima and Zeromus had probably already told her who was coming. He sat down while she went to order more food, smiling as Ashe and Fran pushed in through the doors, their conversation floating ahead of them, providing amusing insights.
"… and then what did he say?"
"If you can believe it, he goes 'I said Fran didn't like being tied up…' grinning at me with that unrepentant look on his face. Like he didn't ignore me at Bahamut and then deliberately stayed away."
"I told him it was a bad idea not to let you know he was alive and well. Balthier often relies too much on his charm, not his brains. So then what did you do?" They dropped the conversation as they approached the table, to greet Vaan and Penelo. Vaan wondered just what had happened after that.
-According to Shemhazai, she tied him to the bed, got dressed, and left, giving the guards orders that they were not to go in her room no matter WHAT they heard.- Zalera supplied, causing Vaan to choke on his wine. He shook his head at Ashe's and Fran's inquiry's if he was alright and settled down to enjoy an evening bantering about battles and stupid things the lot of them had done at one point or another.
After all, what went on between the Queen and Balthier was none of his business.
