Kodak Moment: A rare, one time, moment that is captured by a picture, or should have been captured by a picture. - Urban Dictionary
Colin Creevy was thought by most to be a pretty normal child. He got average grades, had a mild obsession with harry potter and had many friends. What these people didn't know was that Colin had an obsession also with capturing perfect moments on camera when no one was looking.
A little after first coming to Hogwarts, he had realised the potential here for great things, most especially perfect moments. So everywhere he took with him a hidden camera.
Not long before Christmas in his fifth year at the magical school, and harry potters seventh year he was walking back from the great hall after a late snack. As he walked into the common room for Griffindor house he stopped dead in his tracks, almost falling over. Another perfect moment was apon him. Quickly swinging his camera out of his long sleeved robe he snapped a few shots before stepping back and taking a look at exactly what he was seeing.
Arranged around the fireplace, collapsed in various positions were the seventh year group of friends that had originally started as a trio.
In one of the armchairs, Ginny Weasley lay with her head hanging over one arm and her legs hanging over the other, mouth open and snoring very lightly. Then Colin realised that not only was she sprawled across the chair she seemed to have trapped a dozing Nevil Longbottom under her as well.
In the other arm chair, Ron Weasley and on top of him Luna Lovegood. Now he had no idea how she had gotten into the room being a Ravenclaw but she seemed quite at home lying on Ron with his arms around her so he didn't question it too much.
And in the final seat, the 3 person sofa directly in front of the fire were Harry and Hermione. Instead of being crumpled one on top of the other they appeared to have fallen asleep back to back and slumped against each other as well as the sofa back.
Just before he was going to turn and head up to bed he heard the portrait open behind him and sidestepped so that Dean and Seamus could get through. He heard them snicker and point.
"Haha look at that, totally a Kodak moment one of them said"
"Ha, yeah, shame we don't have a camera about, endless blackmail material right there"
Taking another look at the collapsed friends he briefly contemplated speaking up about his camera but changed his mind when he saw the stress free smiles on their faces. They deserved a little moment of happieness.
