Notes
Spoiler for chapter 46
All I need is them living together and the Hyakuya orphans to be alive again.
He never thought that he would get to see this anymore.
Not when he lost them that day, not when he was turned to be a vampire.
Mika, is still a vampire. The one he once hated—though now he couldn't since Yuu would never let him hate himself. It's not just Yuu though, the rest of his pesky squad from the fiery Mitsuba, Shinoa—who he thinks has the super power of being annoying, the serious Kimizuki, the smiley Yoichi and the super-tired-of-this-world Narumi. They are, Mika thinks, the most obnoxious group of people.
But they're his family. They care about him, doesn't matter that he's a vampire. They are the one screaming on his ears if he doesn't drink enough blood (although he hopes they will stop the innuendos. It's embarrassing enough that Yuu moans a lot during his feeding—not that Mika actually minds). And he, against his better judgment, cares about them.
Here, in this house, Mika leans on the doorway looking at the kids playing with their new family. Shinoa is braiding Akane's hair (and Mika wants to cry, because Akane is alive—young and thirteen with her soft laugh). The kids, Yoichi, Narumi and Mitsuba are roughhousing on the playmate, with their laughters and easy smiles. Kimizuki is cooking in the kitchen with Chihiro and Ako, occassionally cursing when Yuu steals one of the cookies from the tray.
He's still a vampire, but he doesn't care. If it means he can still be with his family, then he'll live his life fully.
