Cecilia'a face was wet with tears. Pegasus suddenly was overwhelmed with regret about everything that had said. He knew that a mother's love was so immense thatshe would die in order for her child to live, he just never expected the mother to be his wife. Their child wasn't even born yet and Cecilia was going to die so their baby could live.
Because, Cecilia, the love of his life, had cancer. The doctors said that they could treat it with Kemo(sp?) therapy, but, Cecilia got pregant. The doctors then gave her a choice, she could continue treatment and the baby might die, or she could stop treatments and the baby would live. Cecilia made the choice like it was the easist decision ever made. She hasn't been to a treatment since.
Pegasus begged her to go back, they argue about it constently, on day like today. Only today, pegasus went to far, saying, 'who cares about a baby that isn't even born yet?' At this they both paused and Cecilia started to cry even harder. He tried to apologize, but she told him to stop and ran out of the room. He just stood there and remembered their fight, word by word. Each of her words stung him like a bee. He truly did regret everything he said, but he knew he couldn't take it back now, it was too late.
I heard a story where this really did happen and felt so bad for the family, I can't forget it. What choice would you make?
