Theme 2: Love

Once upon a time, a witch and a wizard from the light fell in love and got married. They were so happy, and were even happier when they realized they had a child on the way. The child was born and the three were a happy family.

Then one day, a dark wizard saw how strong the child would one day be and grew afraid of that power. He decided the best way to get rid of the threat was to destroy it as soon as possible. So one night he attacked the happy household and killed the mother and father. One thing the dark wizard did not realize was that the mother, who was a very smart witch, had used an old ritual to save her child in lieu of her own life. So then, when the dark wizard used his wand and tried to kill the child, the spell rebounded off of the child and hit him; killing him. The child cried, as if knowing that his parents had left that plane of existence, leaving him all alone, as tears ran down his chubby cheeks and blood ran from his new scar on his forehead.

The child became a hero and was worshipped throughout the wizarding world but the child was none the wiser for he was sent away from this fame in hope he could live a normal childhood. His childhood, sadly, was anything but normal. He lived under a cupboard for the first eleven years of his life and was forced to do all the chores that the boy's relatives were too lazy to do. If he didn't complete them in a certain amount of time the boy got beat or was withheld food.

But worse than the beatings, or the starvation was the lack of love. It stunted the poor boy. He didn't know that he wasn't supposed to feel so empty like he did. He never realized he was missing anything in his life. He simply kept moving on.

Eventually, the secrets came out. He found why his relatives hated him, learned of his heritage. Over the next couple of years the boy started to grow into a young man. He faced many challenges and made friends (along with enemies) but still, he had not found what he yearned so much for.

Love.

Sure, many wanted to give it to him (like a red haired girl he knew) but they never truly wanted him for himself. They only saw the hero side of him, never his real self. But…whenever he was around her, she made him feel strange. A monster was in him whenever she was around. It wanted to be released, to claim her and protect her from others. He wanted to make the long blond haired girl smile all the time.

When she kissed him, he felt that odd empty spot in his chest that had always been there flutter happily. Finally, the boy thought to himself as he leaned into the kiss, holding her gently.

The boy had finally found what he was looking for.
