It all started one day on the first day of high school. All the 'Giants' as they call themselves, were being the new bullies of the school. The Giants are a group of guys that picked out popular guys and girls, and the not-so-popular guys and girls. They had two leaders, Alcyoneus and Porphyrion. The giants were known for vandalizing peoples' possessions and passing hurtful notes and rumors.

I was walking down the hallway when I noticed people whispering and looking at me. I quickly went into the nearest bathroom to check my appearance to see if anything was wrong with it. I looked into the mirror and my blue eyes were staring back at me. I had my long blonde hair pulled up in a bun because I didn't have time to curl it. I went back into the hallway and the other students still were whispering and pointing at me. I tried to not pay attention to it, but when I overheard my name in a conversation I couldn't help myself.

"I heard that Aphrodite was cheating on Hephaestus," One girl with long brown hair whispered to her friend

"Yeah, I heard it was with Ares," Her friend whispered back with a tone of disbelief.

I walked away before I could hear anymore of those hurtful rumors. I felt tears welling up in my eyes and ran down the hall to my locker. When I finally got to my locker, I saw that someone had spraypainted it with a word that was very hurtful, but wasn't PG. I ignored it and got my algebra book out. I saw Athena walking down the hall and decided to tell her what happened.

"Hey Aphrodite, why are you crying?"

"Nah, it's stupid," I said, quickly realizing that she would probably go into a lecture about standing up for myself and all that other stuff.

"Aphrodite, need I remind you of what happened last time you didn't tell me something?" Athena asked. I rolled my eyes at the memory of when I didn't tell her I was dating Hephaestus.

"Okay, fine," I told her. "I overheard these two girls talkin about me in the hall, and when I got to my locker it was spraypainted," I finished, about to break down in front of my friend.

"I have a feeling who did it," She said. I looked at her and raised my eyebrow. "It was probably the Giants. I'll go tell Zeus!" She yelled as she ran off in search for Zeus and left me alone to go to algebra.

Zeus was a nice person. He was trying to stop all of the bullies from hurting everyone else. He was nice to everyone and didn't think bad about what anyone looked like. He was the one who stood up for everyone and would help them. Although he was nice, he didn't know when to stop. He would often get hurt from trying to stand up to a bully, and didn't always help the "nerds".

Algebra was boring as always. I've always struggled with math, and have relied on my looks for jobs. I kept thinking about what happened earlier, listening to the teacher drone on about quadratic equations. I try to pay attention, I really do, but I just find myself thinking about something else, and then when I try to concentrate I think about concentrating instead of actually listening to the teacher. The bell rang and everyone scrambled out of the classroom, not paying attention to what the teacher was saying about our homework for that night.

I spotted Zeus at the end of the hallway confronting Alcyoneus and Porphyrion. I ran up to him and tried to pull him away but he just pushed me off.

"Zeus, don't start something, they'll just hurt you!" I begged my friend to let it go, but he held his stance.

"Don't worry, Aphrodite, I got this," He tried to reassure me, but it didn't work. He would get crushed by the two Giants. I ran back down the hallway to get my bag and left the school, not wanting to see Zeus get hurt, but I was confronted by Mr. Chiron.

"Aphrodite, I saw you weren't paying very much attention during my algebra lesson. What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.

"Oh it's nothing, just some bullying," I said trying to avoid the subject as much as possible.

"That's been happening a lot around here. Maybe you and your friends and some of the more academic students should work together to stop the bullying," He said, a hopeful look in his eyes. I had to admit, it wasn't a bad idea. I texted the others to meet me at the Olympus cafe, and ran out of the school building.

When everyone had sat down at a table at the cafe I started to talk to them about Mr. Chiron's idea. They agreed to recruit one of the smarter kids. Zeus , who now had a black eye from the fight with the leaders of the Giants, had sent Athena to go get Hercules, one of the smarter kids, but still had a little bit of brawn. Afterwards, I sat and enjoyed my tea while talking with my friends Ares, Hera, and Hephaestus.

When I got to school the next day, Athena and Hercules were waiting for me. Hercules had a video recorder in his hand and that had told me Athena and Hercules had a plan.

"Hey guys, what's your plan?" I asked. They looked worried as if I would hate it.

"Well, we're gonna need your help," I nodded my head, starting to get a little nervous myself. "We're going to need you to do something that would make you get bullied by Alcyoneus, and we'll video tape it and will send it to the principle and his parents, so he'll get transfered," Our school had a no-bullying policy and anyone who was caught bullying would have to get transferred to the other high school in our school district.

"Alright, sounds good," I said my voice trembling a little. I really didn't want to get bullied more than I already did, but I knew it would help everyone out.

After third hour was over, Athena, Hercules and I had met by the girls' bathroom. I had tucked some toilet paper in my sneakers so I would be a target to Alcyones. Athena and Hercules had gotten their camera set up, ready to capture Alcyones on video. I started walking in to the hallway traffic, immediately receiving some snickers from the other students, but I was just so focused on finding Alcyones. After about two minutes of walking around aimlessly, I had spotted the Giant getting ready his things ready for P.E. I had to think of something to get his attention, so I purposely tripped, the toilet paper still stuck to my shoe. People stopped and stared, and Alcyoneus snapped his head up as soon as I had hit the floor. I had to get him back to where Hercules and Athena were so they could get him bullying me on camera. I ran back toward the girls' bathroom, Alcyoneus right behind me. After what felt like 30 minutes, but in reality was only about two, we reached the girls' bathroom. Athena and Hercules were hiding behind the drinking fountain, which was big and lunky, so Alcyoneus couldn't see them.

"Well what do we have here? Aphrodite embarrassing herself again? I didn't have to do anything," taunted Alcyoneus.

"Get away from me," I whimpered, already imagining the worst that could happen in this situation. I started backing away from him, with every step I took back, he took a step forward. I felt my back hit the cold bricks of the wall, and I knew I was doomed if someone didn't step in soon.

"Nowhere to go?" He asked in a mock concerned voice. "Too bad," He said smiling, raising his fist.

"Stop!" I heard Hercules yell as he darted from behind the drinking fountain with the camera in hand. As soon as he saw Alcyoneus, he stopped in his tracks. Hercules's eyes grew big. Alcyoneus towered over Hercules and was about to hit him, when Zeus tackled Alcyoneus. The two boys tumbled to the ground and started beating on each other. I tried to move my feet, but they were glued to the floor. I heard footsteps running toward us and I snapped out of the trance I was in. I looked up to find Mrs. Gaia, the principle, running toward us. She looked furious.

"Break it up you two!" She yelled, face red. She started yanking on Zeus's arm to get him off of Alcyoneus, eventually succeeding. "What was this about?" She questioned, her voice calmer now.

"Aphrodite was about to get hit by Alcyoneus when Hercules stepped in, and then Alcyoneus was going to beat him, so Zeus tackled Alcyoneus," Athena explained, her words coming out quickly.

"Do you have proof that Alcyoneus was bullying you?" Mrs. Gaia turned to me. I nodded my head and Athena handed her the SD card that had the video of her being bullied on it. She snatched the SD card out of Athena's hands and turned back to her office waving her hand as a signal for all five of us to follow her.

After she watched the video, she had called Alcyoneus parents and they had him pulled out of the school, as well as the other Giants. Afterward, we met up with the rest of our friends and told them the news. Hercules told his friends, and we were a functioning school again.
