A/N: My first attempt for anything Professor Layton related. Just finished the third game yesterday and I'm working feverishly to find the movies and next game in English or at least with subtitles… Flora's POV.

Disclaimer: I own nothing at all.

I could always see the faint glow around people, their natural color or shade of personality. I always assumed everyone could see it. But I had brought it up to the Professor one day and he said he couldn't see a thing.

I finally figured out I was a bit different from anyone else, but not in a bad way. He thought it was just my eyes playing strange tricks on me, but I knew it wasn't that.

I did my own research and found that it was something called an aura. Everyone had their own and only certain people could see them.

Luke was blue. He was the brightest blue I had ever seen. I leaned that blue was the color of loyalty and of respect. Those were two of the biggest attributes I could ever think to apply to his personality. It was very true to his natural character.

The Professor was an ever-glittering bronze, a color of wise nobility and quiet strength. It always meant a low rank when it was in a competition, but it was still of power and standard. It characterized the Professor better than any other color I could think of.

Barton was orange. It always made me think of a playful ginger-pelted kitten. Yes, he was very orange.

Don Paolo was a deep mahogany brown. I wanted to say he was black, but he wasn't. He held the slivers of love in his heart; it was the only thing that kept his aura from turning onyx.

Clive was a pale shade of sea foam green. That was the only way I could tell he wasn't the Luke of the future. But I figured that auras could change over time, if the opportunities and chances arose. I guess I was wrong.

Surprisingly, Chelmey was red. It didn't even match him at first when I thought about it, but then once I dug deeper, I realized red could've been his rage or his glow of determination. He was a hard man to figure out.

When I first laid eyes on Claire, she was gold. A pure, blissful gold. She was one of the colors I hadn't seen before. Beautiful shimmering gold. And as soon as the Professor was near her, she shone brighter. And when he was with her, he turned gold as well.

True love must be golden.

A/N: I shall write more soon. I have a ton of ideas from the third game… Please review.
