"I wanna tell you something. But you have to promise me you won't get mad, okay?"

He got deported. He got deported and there was nothing Sam could do about it. He knew he couldn't stop it, he knew it was coming, but he didn't want to believe it. The saying "you don't know what you have until it's gone" didn't apply here, Sam had lost Rory months before he had gotten deported. Well he never really had him to begin with really, but they both knew that they had each other. Whether it be the times they snuck out at night to be with each other, or when they exchanged quick glances in glee club. Yeah, they both knew they had each other, or did they? Sam was about to find out...

It was on valatines day when Rory told the club that he would be deported at the end of the school year, and that hurt Sam more than anything. He wasn't sure if he was glad that he knew, or upset for the same reason. On one hand, he knew exactly how long he had left with his lover. But on the other hand, he knew exactly when he was going to be taken away from him. He knew it wasn't his fault, but he hated him for some reason. Maybe it was because he had to find out with everyone else, and not be able to show how he felt, otherwise he would expose their realtionship. He knew neither him or Rory wanted to be outed, so he kept quiet, and never said anything about it again. Until one day, towards the end of the year, just after nationals to be exact, Rory found Sam in the mens bathroom, washing his face. He had clearly been crying. Without saying a word, Rory put his arms around Sam, and pulled him into a tight embrace. Sam started to sob into Rory's shoulder, and Rory held him tighter. "Sam?" Rory said after a few minutes of holding each other. "Don't say anything, I don't want to forget this moment. Ever" was all that the blonde said. And that was that. They stood there for what felt like a lifetime, and tried to etch the moment as clearly as they could into their minds. They knew they would never forget this moment. Ever...

The next time they had glee together, they didn't even look at each other. They couldn't. They both knew that they would both burst into tears if they did. Rory didn't want to see Sam crying, he wanted to remember his face all smiley and happy. Sam didn't want to see Rory at all, he didn't need to. What he felt inside was a connection deeper than what he had had with anyone else he'd ever been with...

The day had came when Rory was to be deported, and it was like no one would notice he was gone. Apart from one. Sam had went to the airport with Rory, never letting go of his hand, not caring about the looks that people gave them. When they got to the gate, Sam turned to Rory and said "I love you. Don't forget me Rory Flanagan" and place a gentle kiss on the Irish boy's lips. Rory couldn't speak. His eyes were flooded with tears, but Sam knew what he was trying to say. "It's okay" he said, "You don't have to say anything. I know what you're thinking." Smilling, Rory hugged him for one final time, and then got on the plane...

Rory had left for Ireland. Sam was stuck in America. And no one even noticed...
