"Minerva. Please, just listen to me!" He desperately shouted.
"Oh come on, Albus! There's nothing more to say." She continued storming down the corridor, ignoring his attempts to talk to her.
"Minerva! Minerva!" She abruptly halted and briskly turned to face him.
"What is it?" Anger flashed dangerously in her deep, emerald eyes.
"I-I'm sorry. I was just trying to protect you." For a brief moment, there was silence.
"From what?"
"From her. From Umbridge."
"You shouldn't have left me. Left us. The students." Her demeanour softened slightly.
"I know. And I'm sorry. I don't know what I would do without you, Tabby."
"Oh, Albus." She held his gentle gaze, as he placed a soft hand upon her cheek.
A small tear escaped her eye and she pulled him into a warm embrace.
