"I can't believe this is happening!" 14-year-old Sabrina Humphery said, turning to her 14-year-old twin sister, Maycee.
"I know right? I'm so excited!"
Sabrina, Maycee, and their close friends Christina, Kayleigh, Jason, Will, Jake, and Alicia, were all going on a 19-day cruise to South America. They were cruising on the Norwegian EPIC, the second largest ship in the world.
Right now, they were heading to Omaha, Nebraska, to fly to Detroit. Then they were to fly from Detroit to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Anyway, they safely made it to the Omaha airport and to the gate just in time.
Kayleigh and Sabrina watched the plane, which was about the size of a private jet, get fueled and checked over. The Plane could hold twice as much as an average school bus. After awhile, it was time to board the plane.
While sitting on the plane for awhile, the stewardess came by and offered water, pop, pretzals, peanuts, coffee, and cookies.
Finally, the plane reached Detroit and landed safely. The beautiful bright sun shone as the little plane pulled into the gate and let everyone off. When the group got off, they went to find gate A66. In order to get there, they had to walk in a tunnel under the docking gates. The tunnel was really pretty.
"This feels like the tunnel walk!" Alicia said, looking around.
There were lights, moving sidewalks, and paintings.
Once the group made it to the other side of the tunnel, they stopped and Sabrina asked the group if they wanted lunch. Most of the group did.
Finally, Christina spotted A66 and told Sabrina. When they got to the gate, everybody set their bags down and went to find lunch. The group split up and everyone found something to eat. Then they met up afterwards and went back to the gate.
Then, the plane arrived. This plane was a lot bigger than the last one. The group boarded the plane, which was late due to engine problems, and sat by their friends. Sabrina, Maycee, and Kayleigh sat by each other and started to talk. Kayleigh checked the time, which said 1:30 PM. The flight was approximently two hours long. So that would make the time 3:30 PM by the time they got there.
The plane made up time in the air and landed at 2:30 PM. 30 minutes to get to the ship! The group waited and let everyone else off. Then they got off the plane, looked around, and went to get any check-in's they had. Sabrina had only 1 check-in and 2 carry-ons. Maycee had 1 check-in and 1 Carry-on. Almost everyone had 1 Check-In. They rented a limo and a van to take them to the pier. The van held everyones check ins and most of the carry ons. Sabrina, Kayleigh, Will, Jake, and Christina rode in the Limo, while Jake and Alicia rode in the van.
