"Count Tango, I bring you great news!" announced the scout as he came rushing up the steps of the temple.
"Calm down scout, I am in the middle of something important," the elder man replied.
"Sir, we have completed construction of your new shrine. It is very beautiful, and it has the finest architecture I have seen in my lifetime!"
"I'm sure it does, but I will go to it when I am ready," the elder replied to the ecstatic scout. "But in the meantime I want you to tell the village that a new project is underway."
"And what might that be my lord? Certainly we are safe from any harm?" the puzzled scout stated quizzically. He did not know of anything that needed tending to in this perfect village.
"Start construction of a grand wall, lined with cannons and harpoons and machinations of war!" the elderly count shouted as he stood up. "Go! You have my blessing, and you shall soon be appointed as my general if you complete this task."
"Yes my lord. I shall inform the residents immediately," the scout cried out as he ran down the steps of the temple. The count watched him as he ran from door to door telling everyone of the next grand construction of the Kingdom of Glass.
"Yes, go now my minion. You do not know that you will soon become the follower of an emperor!" the man of fifty-three years shouted as he turned, his black cloak swishing about, back into the temple. Back to his dark works…
Day of Glass-
Today is the day that I unlock the power of the gods! My shrine is completed, and soon the walls of the greatest temple shall be completed! This kingdom, this village will soon be flocking with followers coming to worship ME!
My master will be pleased. It a matter of one decade I have managed to create the location of his summoning. Soon there shall be minions, money, and power at my hands. This journal is the only object documenting my work. Nobody must interrupt my conquering of the elements! The Day of Death is approaching, the day of my master's summoning…
The man closed his journal and tucked it under his cloak as he started toward his new glass shrine. As he entered the glass shrine he saw three circles of sand that would be used for the summoning. He took in the sight of the beautiful garden and fountains. The architecture was phenomenal. There were columns with inscriptions on them, statues and sculptures; this was the perfect place to summon the great master of darkness.
Please Continue the Story. I shall choose a winner, and then I shall release my version of the story. Remember, this is only part one of a three part jam-packed series…
