It was like any other frost filled day in the North Pole, December woke up to the sound of her father's booming laughter, slipping out of bed she quickly pulled on a red silk robe and headed down stairs to the Workshop.

"Dad what in the world is going on?" December asked running a hand through her short crimson red hair, her father turned to her and smiled clapping. "We have got a new guardian!" He yelled in his thick Russian accent, he walked over to her and picked her up setting her up on his shoulder. She watched as Bunnymund and the yeti's dragged a red sack in.

"Morning December, how are you?"

She turned to see Tooth flying up to her examining her teeth. "I'm alright, who is the new guardian?" The sack opened and rolled out Jack Frost.

He looked around, obviously disoriented. "Wow? You've got to be kidding me." He stood up and looked around, December held onto her dad's shoulder as he leaned forward. "There he is."

"Oh well you know I just love being thrown into a sack." Jack said sarcastically, dad laughed and clapped nodding his head. "Good that was my idea."

As December's dad did his interdictions Jack continually stared at her, his crystal blue eyes widening slightly. "Who is she, cupid?"

December giggled and jumped down from her father's shoulder, stepping closer she shook her head, Jack leaned his head in and smiled softly. "Shh don't tell my dad this but I'm not a spirit let alone a guardian."

"She is North's daughter, Miss December Ann Clause."

"Oh but you will be one day, now uh, go and get dressed and have the elves help you with breakfast yes?" With that the yeti's began to guide the protesting girl out of the room, she turned on last time to look at Jack, giving him a sad smile before disappearing.

After getting dressed in black leather boots, black skinny jeans, and a long sleeve thermal tee shirt, she ran down to see her father.

"No." He said as he went to pet his deer.

"Daddy you are not going on some dangerous mission without me, ask Bunnymund I've been training I'm ready." North groaned and turned to see his daughter looking at him with a look of pure desperation on her face. He covered his own eyes and looked away, December grabbed his arm pulling it away from his face. "Please, please."

"No one is going to be able to watch after you." North muttered as he helped his daughter onto the sleigh. "I can." Jack said flying up behind December lifting her up by her waist. She squealed and fell back into Jack's arms, turning toward her father she grinned.

"See he could be a good protector."

North sighed and started up the sleigh. "Fine."
