The Lump
Kevin sat at home on the sofa wearing his trackies and Scotty's shirt. He sat hunched up on the sofa shaking.
Then the door opened and Scotty got in and walked into the room.
"Hey love what's wrong?" Scotty asked seeing the tiers.
Kevin looked up at him shaking" Kitty she……she has……cancer!" he sobbed.
Scotty's eyes widened and he ran to Kevin and hugged him tightly.
"Oh god love I'm so sorry, I'm here it's ok" he said softly.
Kevin sobbed in his arms hugging him tightly until he couldn't cry anymore.
"Does anyone else know?" Scotty asked.
"No but she is telling the others together" he sniffed.
Scotty helped him stand and walked him to the bedroom and lay him down.
He kissed him on the head "I'll make you a nice cup coffee and your favourite dinner, you can eat it here in bed ok" he said and went to make it.
When he got back in he lay next to him watching him eat arm round him a hand running through his hair.
After they just lay thee for a while talking, Scotty letting Kevin cry again in his arms.
Eventually Kevin cried himself to sleep. Scotty hugged him close kissed him on the head and fell asleep himself.
