Lightning-Dono: This poem was inspired when I listened to the song 'Gluhen' from...where else but Weiss Kreuz Gluhen? Although I never exactly watched that part of the anime (I only watched the original Weiss Kreuz. Gluhen is, as I like to put it, something that branched off from the original.), but I enjoy the music.
I guess this could be taken from the perspective of any character from it. Sounds a bit like Omi, though. o.O Or Ran. ((shrug))
In a way, this doesn't seem too much like a poem. ..;

.The silence of the night
.The stealthy movements of the figures around me
.Reassure that I am not alone
.That was the joy of being in a group
.One draws, others follow
.One stands up, only to have the rest do same
.And when someone falls, together we all go

.As I drew my weapon
.I heard the others do similar
.I awaited the first shot
.For the blow that would start the battle
.In the dark, those shadows advanced closer
.The sad thing was that you'd never know
.If the blow will catch you or not

.Those moments when I looked down the barrel of one's gun
.Have scarred me forever
.The feeling of helplessness as you stare into the face of defeat
.I don't want you to face that same fate
.So don't look at me with those eyes
.Go back into that corner
.And hide from the fight until it's done

.Your eyes say you don't understand
.And why is that?
.No one has the right to take another's life
.But yet people do it still
.Perhaps it's just us fools that even try
.But you're too innocent
.Fighting has more bloodspills than visible

.Pain is only another aspect of life
.Give vengence a strike and it'll hit you back
.Admit the grief within your heart and you are weak
.It won't matter which way you turn
.But when you're the one inflicting pain
.It feels better
.Than experiencing it alone

.Have you ever sought revenge?
.Did you ever want to end the fight only to spur another?
.Listen here, young one
.What you see now is but a taste of your future
