Certainty
He'd never really needed someone to tell him that he'd make the right decision. But recently, the past few weeks, he had been second guessing everything he was doing. Faulting when a split second decision had to be made.
It took him a while to wok out why, because he hadn't noticed that anyone really did reassure him on his decisions. But now leaning against his desk, he remembers that even though she hadn't always meant to be reassuring, she had been. And that's why he hadn't been able to pin point the moment it had gone, because it was so subtle while it was happening, but so noticeable now its been snatched away. He missed it, the reassurance. But mostly, out of everything miss able, he missed her.
"Harry, should they do it?" Moments like these, days like these, hell even weeks like these. He needed her, like a plants needs water.
"Do it." He sighed and ran his hand over his face.
In losing her and trying to make out that everything was alright. That they were just colleague's, that he didn't love her and yearn to be with her wherever that may be. He lost himself. He lost what made Harry, Harry. He lost his certainty.
End
