A Love Letter
Today is the day
I shall give him a love letter,
But whatever I say,
Might make it worse or better
But what should I write?
Should I be romantic, flirty, silly or nice?
I stayed up all night thinking,
But my brain wouldn't start
So I waited until morning,
When I would get a good start!
After breakfast I sat down and started to think.
I was thinking for hours! Man, I stink!
I asked my dad and he didn't know,
My brother was useless and my mom said:
"Write what you feel and put on a show!"
I did what she said
And went back to my room,
I took out a pencil,
And my letter started to bloom
I was at least three hours writing the letter,
It was so long and romantic,
I felt fantastic!
The next day at school
I could only stare at him
He's smart, plays sports,
And follows all the rules
During lunch I went to his locker
And slipped in the letter,
And then came a shocker
He was right behind me and I didn't notice,
So I backed away slowly
As I ran down the hallway
When school let out I followed him around,
But he had a reunion, and soccer practice
I was so down
After he finished all of the things he had to do
He went to his locker
He saw the letter and opened the envelope
As I herd his laughter
He started to read it, as I watched secretly;
I got so nervous that I couldn't breath
He finished the letter and looked around;
I hid as best as I could so that I would not be found
I started to think that he thought it was lame
Until I hear him say: "She did not write her name."
I stood there in shock, I was so ashamed
Of all the things to forget it had to be my name!
So my Valentine's Day was a wreck,
Once again I have failed to tell him my feelings,
But do not fear!
For I will do better on Valentine's next year
