A storm had come. The wind was whistling across the trees. They could see the dull flash of lightning through the thin fabric of the tent. The torrential rain danced across the tent, finding ways to leak through onto them. A very soaked and irritable Felicity sat in the middle of the small tent, bundled in all the blankets.
"Oh my god look how wet I am, this is all your fault!"
Crouched at the entrance to the tent, her boyfriend just raised an eyebrow at her.
"Really Oliver, you know what I mean," she huffed, pulling the blankets tighter around her.
He replied, crossing his arms, "It's only a little bit of rain Felicity."
"A little bit? It's practically a hurricane outside!"
"But we are in the middle of-" "Don't even try to get out of this," she interrupted.
"I'm sorry Felicity..."
"No Oliver, don't use those puppy dog eyes on me. It won't work!"
Oliver turned to look at her with the most pitiful face he could muster, which looked genuine given that he was also soaked, but had none of the blankets Felicity did.
"That's not even fair," she softened.
He just laughed in response.
"I am freezing. You didn't happen to bring anything useful on this trip did you?"
"I brought my bow," Oliver replied.
"Great! Do you plan on using it for kindling?" She shot back sarcastically.
Oliver looked affronted by that prospect. "I can't make a fire in the rain, Felicity."
She acted surprised, "what really? Didn't you survive on an island for years? I thought you are a survival expert."
Oliver growled a warning, "Felicity".
She kept on going, "You know when you proposed the idea of camping I pictured a cozy cabin with a nice fireplace, and maybe even a kitchen. Instead, we are freezing in a cramped tent."
Oliver crawled closer to her. "We can fix that," he replied with a familiar heat in his eyes.
She suppressed a nervous laugh. "Oh Oliver Queen, was this your plan all along?"
"It's only logical, we wouldn't want to freeze to death, right?" He moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her bundled body.
"You're going to have to make a better case than that," she said.
He leaned forward and pressed his lips against an exposed part of her neck. She couldn't suppress the shiver that ran through her.
"Oliver! What if someone comes up here?" she said restlessly.
He gently raked his teeth over her skin.
"Well I guess no one will come up here while it is storming…." she thought out loud.
He moved to a sensitive spot under her ear, and started teasing it with his tongue.
"Or maybe we could stop talking," she let out breathlessly.
"You're the only one talking, Felicity," he whispered in her ear before quickly capturing her lips with his.
The stayed warm all night.
