Peter Parker was bored out of his skull. Mr Jameson told him to come and cover a wealthy charity event. He was to interview all the rich and famous people that were giving their money away. As he was wondering around asking a few questions of the people he met. But as he was making his rounds he came upon a couple that stood out from the rest.

The lady had short bright red hair in ringlets and was wearing, in comparison, a very plain dress. It was nice but it didn't seem to fit with the other women that were attending the event. The tall, broad, black haired man beside her looked more like a henchman than a billionaire. So Peter decided to interview them. Partly to know how they got here and part to make sure they weren't here to rob the place.

"Hello ma'am. How do you like the party?" He asked her politely.

She smiled warmly. "It's fine. I'm not much into these sort of things but with our donation we were invited."

"Oh. I'm Peter Parker with the Daily Bugle. Would you mind if I asked you some questions?"

"Sure. I'm Ellen Marcy. This is my husband David." She told him motioning to the silent man next to her. He nodded in acknowledgment but made no comment.

"You both look so.. normal. I have to ask how you were invited to such an event."

The lady smiled again. "Well, anyone that donates over $100,000 gets an invite. We donated 250."

Peter's eyebrows raised. He had never even seen 250 thousand dollars. Much less think of giving it away. "How did you make your millions?" He asked really curious.

Ellen chuckled. "The simple answer is Spiderman."

He looked at her shocked. Him? He thought. His face must have been just as shocked because she chuckled. "Can you explain how Spiderman made you a millionaire? If I just printed that Mr. Jameson would hit the roof." He chuckled at the thought of Jouhna's face.

"I came to New York to build a contracting business. After I got here I noticed that every third street seemed to have some kind of damage. Every time Spiderman gets into a battle with the various criminals in this city he seems to be thrown through a wall, or window, or knocks down half a building. All this destruction has to be repaired. My company, Reconstruction, is one of the most efficient in the whole city. So we are called in by the owners or the insurance companies. We quickly make quality repairs. We also offer to move in any replacement furniture. We take care of all the clients needs so their life can get back to normal quickly. At least till the next time a super is thrown through their living room." She told him with a laugh.

He looked at her in shock. He had never thought of who repaired the city after one of his battles. This woman had made a killing off him getting his but handed to him by every villain in the city. "Thank you ma'am. I don't think anyone appreciates what you do to keep our city safe and running." Peter told her.

He walked off and enjoyed the rest of the party. He was glad that he met Ellen Marcy and that no one attacked the venue. But come tomorrow it would be back to school, fighting crime and making more work the Reconstruction company.

An: This is just a one and done. I was thinking about how the city always gets torn apart then the next day it looks brand new. Someone had to do it.
