A single shining star,
Glitters in the sky,
Softly glows,
Amidst a sea of dark.
It is seen first,
In the evening, as
The sunlight starts to fade.
It leads the weary,
Travellers on their way.

For it is the North Star,
Leads people onward,
The gentle northstar,
The northern most point
Of light in the sky.

She is like that star,
