Panic Attack

"Sam!" I ran to my brother's side, dropping to my knees in the mud. "SAMMY!" He lay unmoving in the wet muck, pale, lifeless, arms and legs akimbo.
I wanted to reach out, wanted to shake him. But I was paralyzed with terror as images from Cold Oak tore through my mind. Suddenly I couldn't breathe; pressure against my chest crushing my lungs.
Darkness was creeping along the edges of my vision when suddenly I heard a groan. My gaze locked on Sam's face, and I saw his eyes flutter open.
Coherent thought dropped away as I shuddered in relief.
