Sorry if I got history wrong. History was never really my thing.

A woman walked into a room with two children. They were in their beds, ready to go to sleep.

"Now children, this bedtime story is unlike any other that I've told you. It has romance-" the little boy cringed while the little girl giggled, "-adventure, and much more."

Fredward the brave knight rode up on his white steed to the castle. He had brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. He'd been called up by King Arthur himself. Er…Prince Arthur at the moment, actually. The current king was Uther Pendragon, for Arthur wasn't old enough to manage the land.

On the way he saw the lovely Samantha, one of the maids. She had long blonde hair that she always kept in a tight braid and eyes like the most gorgeous sparkling ocean. Although she was a maid, she had spunk. He was deeply in love with her, and yet his father forbade him from going out with her. He was supposed to marry the princess in the next kingdom so he could be a king. She had dark curls and pale skin from a life of protection inside the castle. Sure she was pretty, he'd give her that much, but she wasn't anything like Samantha. She was just a bit too nice for Fredward. The girl's name was Carlotta.

Every time he tried talking to Samantha, she'd ignore him, for she knew about Carlotta and it hurt too much to look at Fredward. That time was no different.

He tried to race by to the stables before she noticed him. It hurt him too much too see her.

He put his horse in the designated stable, the one to the left of Arthur's horse. Arthur's horse was chestnut brown with black cascading hair. The name of Arthur's horse was Adrian, it was supposed to mean brave, but that can't exactly be confirmed. He was the eldest horse in the stables for he used to be Uthers, until Uther became too old to ride horses.

The one to the right of King Arthur's horse was Lancelot's horse. Fredward hated that horse, mostly only because of the man it belonged to.

You see, Fredward and Lancelot were rivals. Always fighting to be Arthur's right hand man. (*Cough* According to history, I guess Lancelot won…*Cough*)

They were nothing alike. Lancelot had fiery red hair and a splatter of freckles all over his face. (A/N: I'll bet you Lancelot looked nothing like that, but redheads are awesome…Too bad I'm not a redhead…Wait…OH YEAH. THE STORY. Sorry…) His personality matched his hair and he had green eyes like the grass surrounding the kingdom grounds.

Anyway, it just so happened that Arthur had summoned Lancelot AND Fredward to the Great Hall. The king in waiting had a grave expression. "Men, Princess Guinevere has been taken by dragons of a nearby kingdom. I am needed here and cannot go on a mission to save her. You two are my best knights. Please, do whatever you can to save her." His eyes were pleading them with all his might.

Fredward bowed, hoping to show the prince that he was much better than Lancelot, "Yes sir. We'll do anything to get Guinevere back. I know how it feels not being able to be with your princess."

Lancelot scoffed and said, "Nobody cares about your love life you simpleton. Let's just get on with the quest." He stiffened at that last part.

They heard a voice from the door, "Geez Lancelot. Don't get your metallic panties in a bunch." They turned to look, but it was too late. All they saw was a flash of gold. The body the voice had come from had disappeared.
